Hey there! It's Ajluv! A short Drabble for Abby because she most likely won our bet. Even if she didn't I still have to write one for her. Here you go.
Eddie was nervous, but he would never show it. When you sat at a dinner table with your new housemates, you wanted to appear cool and collected, not nervous and new.
It was also the time to scope out the hormone-crazed teenagers that he would be dealing with.
Chicken and mashed potatoes were doled out, water and milk glasses were poured from the pitchers, and conversation was cheerful and polite.
Patricia (who Eddie was already calling his arch nemesis) however seemed to be excluded from this polite, well behaved group. Every time one of the pitchers drifted over to her, they were instantly snatched away, with scared looks thrown behind.
Even when she had protested about her lack of drink, she was kept away from the liquids. Her water was poured by an African-American boy that had been blackmailed into the job if the tall blonde's threatening whispers were anything to go by.
Eddie needed to break the ice, in front of him was the perfect opportunity.
"Why doesn't she pour her own drink?"
Eating stopped, eyes raised, eyebrows cocked.
One small brunette sitting next to Patricia shuddered.
"It's best if they're kept separate." She explained ignoring Patricia's rolling of the eyes.
"Bad things happen when Patricia is left near a pitcher of milk."
Eddie decided to leave it at that. Besides, it wasn't like he was going to get drenched any time soon.
Pointless, but I had to get it down. Review!
