Author's Notes: Naruto is back! Huzzah! Though if you arre watching the series like me, this content is probably old news... Regardless! This fanfict is in the form of one of those audio episodes where you listen to dialogue and create your own image in your head, yada yada. Though Ill give you a background quick. If you fans remember, or noobs be spoiled, the massacre by Nagato after he's forced to kill Yahiko. This dialogue is based as the aftermath conversation between Nagato and Konan. Through Pain
"Konan...I understand...if you blame me...for Yahiko."
"No, Nagato...I don't..."
"If it is your wish to kill me, I will not resist."
"No, no, I don't want to kill you...Nagato..."
"Yahiko was your friend-"
"As are you!"
"I was but a mere stray you found on the side of the road, pathetic and weak..."
"You were our friend too!"
"Don't lie Konan, the pain won't disappear any faster."
"Nagato, please..."
"Do it, Konan...I know you hate me."
"I don't hate you, Nagato, I-"
"It will all be over soon. Just take the blade and plunge it into my heart."
"Nagato, I-I-I-*sob*."
"I see...you want to do it with all your heart, yet you can't bring yourself to do so because I'm your friend...then as a friend, and as my final wish, I will help you."
"Nagato, don't, please! I don't want to lose you too!"
"It's ready...the blade is aimed at my heart, so I won't feel any pain...now...do it."
"Nagato!"
"Do It!"
"Aaaaah!"
"...Konan?"
"*Sob*sob*sob* please stop."
"You...don't hate me?"
"Of course not...you're my friend."
"But what about...Yahiko, he too was your friend."
"Nagato! ...Yahiko...is gone. You are all I have left."
"Konan?"
"You are all that I have left in this wretched world! Don't force me to lose you too! I couldn't bear it."
"...you loved him...didn't you?"
"...I did...but that doesn't matter-"
"-Yes it does."
"Huh?"
"You shared the feeling of love with Yahiko, something I bared witness to with these eyes. This is something you and I cannot share, the very thought is wrong."
"What does this have to do with anything?"
"I just don't want to disappoint you, Konan, I can't fill Yahiko's shoes."
"Its what he would have wanted!"
"..."
"He saw it in you, so did Jiraiya-sensei, they saw your potential, you just need to look at yourself…and see it for yourself. They…we believed in you. And I still do."
"Konan, please..."
"Realize that you are far greater than what you make yourself out to be, you are the savior of this world! If you could just realize tha-"
"Konan, stop!"
"Huh!"
"Just...stop...those words cut deeper than any blade."
"Nagato..."
"I can't do it, it's an impossible task for any one person!"
"You are not alone!"
"..."
"You have me...and Yahiko."
"Konan, don't you get it, Yahiko is dead!"
"Not to us...not to me. Yahiko lives on...in our hearts, compelling us with motivation to complete our dream!"
"...You're right...he is with us...I can still see him smiling...right there next to you."
"Nagato."
"Konan...if I were to enter the gates of Hell, would you follow?"
"Until my legs could carry me no more, then I will fly by your side, and when my wings cease to beat, then I will crawl, and if I can go no further, a part of me will always be with you. Our friendship has sealed that benefactor."
"I thought you'd say that, same old Konan."
"Hm?"
"Konan, grab Yahiko's corpse and procure some transportation, we make for the hideout and proceed from there. I have a plan to change this world that just might work."
"Understood."
"I will change this world...and I will do it...through pain!"
