After a long trek to the Stilshrine of Miriam, our motley band of heroes arrive non-frozen and in one piece. They enter into the shrine and fight their way to a pedestal that serves as a way-gate. They read the inscription placed upon the stone face and an argument immediately ensues between two of our protagonists.

"It clearly states that I must bear the stone being of ROYAL blood and a direct descendent of the dynast-king." Princess Ashe sneered condescendingly as she glared at the sky-pirate.

"No," Balthier haughtily growls back. "It merely states SOMEONE needs to hold the stone and being that I am the leading man, I should do the honors."

"Some leading man!" she furrowed back. "I don't remember you once offering to teach me that fire spell you learned!"

She fumed as her hand went to the hilt of her sword.

"And miss the chance to let our Royal Highness shine in all her glory?" he retorted with a smirk as he adjusted his sleeve cuffs.

"Um," Vaan interrupted. "We could just ask Miriam."

Both Balthier and Ashe turn to stare dumfounded at the platinum haired boy.

"Well, if this is still the shrine of Miriam, he's here right?" he puzzled as his hand rubbed the back his neck. "Let's just find him and ask him how it's supposed to work."

Basch groans audibly as Ashe just stares at the boy with a mixture of pure pity and profound hatred.

"For the love of the Gods, it's STILSHRINE of Miriam, Vaan." The sky-pirate remarks exasperatingly throwing his hands in the air and stalks away.

"What?!" he asks visibly confused.

"Oh, Vaan," Penelo sighs shaking her head. "You're hopeless."

"I should have stayed with the wood." Fran mutters as she crosses her arms and turns her back to the party.
