Hiya's! It's weird to be writing again. I hardly ever do it and then
when I do I never really post it, lol. For some strange reason, I did it
last time when I wrote the first letter "Ink on the Pillow". Later that
night I got a sweet review from Sezza and since I didn't know how to write
back, I just figured I'd say thanks here when I posted again. And in regard
to your question, the next one will be from him! So. thanks! And I know
this letter's dumb but. pretend to enjoy it, lol!
Oh, yeah, and before I forget again. Disclaimer! I own nothing having to do with Roswell, the place, the show, the books, or characters, etc. Just this amusing 'letters through time' idea. The end!
Dear Logan,
Mama said you're due soon and according to Daddy, that means I have to be extra helpful around the house. At first I was mad at you. I don't want to do more chores! But Daddy tried to explain that you're special.
That made me madder. It seemed Mama and Daddy were forgetting all about me and thinking all about you.
Life would never be the same if you came. Mama wouldn't be able to sing me to sleep with her old brown guitar when I had nightmares because she'd be busy with you. Daddy wouldn't have time to make me pancakes with Tabasco syrup on Saturdays and Sundays and watch cartoons with me.
I told Daddy I wanted to live with Uncle Kyle because I wasn't wanted here anymore.
He got very sad. Don't say that to him when you're seven either. It makes you feel bad to see him so upset. He sat down even though he was already late for work. He took out a napkin and dried my tears and said that when I was due, he and Mama had to change their lives too. They used to live in an apartment with not very much money. They were happy but they weren't the people we know now.
But he said they changed because they loved me and I was very special and important to them. Daddy said that you're just as important and special, not more. He said that because they love you too, they're changing again. But he said last time was a happy change and this one will be happy too. Daddy told me I had to change for the better and love you too because you're my baby brother.
So I love you.
Daddy said I get to boss you around. Not too much though. Just to make sure that you do your chores and stay out of trouble. I have to make sure you eat your vegetables and put away your toys.
But even if I didn't get to watch over you, I'd still love you.
After all, I'm your big sister and we're family.
Family means we stay together.
Mama told me once that Daddy almost had to leave us. But he didn't because she was his family then.
So even though I didn't like you at first. And even though you're going to keep Mama and Daddy busy for a long time. And even though you're going to be loud and smelly and probably keep me awake and steal my toys and basically be a pain in my butt. I love you.
Your big sister,
Christina Guerin.
