Kat laid her head against Cruger's shoulder, this day had been one of the scariest she'd lived through, (barring the day her home was destroyed, she figured she'd never rid herself of those nightmares). When she got there all the rangers except Shadow were out and she started in when Sky stopped her, there wasn't enough time on the timer, it was about to blow sky high, with Cruger inside. Turn out the reason Cruger was still inside was her, the bomber had spoke badly of her to the wrong man

Kat tries one last time to head for the building and it takes almost ever bit of Sky's strength to hold her back as the explosion occurred. She began to cry uncontrollably at the thought that she had lost him, the one individual that held her heart. Then Cruger walked out from nearby, he'd made it out alive, but Kat wasn't looking up to see him.

Kat looked up to see the old dog headed towards them and she went to greet him.
"Hush, Kat, you know it would take more than a mere criminal to take me down." He said as he hugged her close.
The rangers exchanged confused glances, they thought the criminal was the least of his problem.
"I was sure you wouldn't come back this time." She wept.
"I will always come back to you, I love you, Kat"
"I love you too" she whispered as he lifted her from her feet and cradled her in his arms as he joined the rangers
