This was just a quick one-shot I wrote as a competition between my friend and I. I hope you enjoy.
Disclaimer: I don't own Eleanor & Park.
Park didn't mean to show up there. And he definitely didn't mean to see her. Another fight with his parents led to driving. Driving to nowhere. That's what he thought. He kept going. Now he's parked in front of a house he's only seen once. Red hair flies by a window, and he's off. Out of the car and running to the door to see a girl he hasn't seen in two years.
He's knocking on the door before he even realizes what he's doing. Sweaty hands. Tapping feet. Racing mind. Park waits for the door to open anxiously.
What if she has a boyfriend? What if she doesn't want to see me? What if she sends me away? What if she's not here? What if she ran away again?
The click of a lock shocks Park back into reality. The door opens slowly. Painstakingly slowly.
That's when he saw her. Flaming curls. Splattered freckles. Brown orbs that I could get lost in forever.
"Park." He can't tell if it's a question or not, but he know she's talking to him and that's all he could possibly want right now.
"Eleanor. I-"
She cuts him off. "You need to leave. I don't know why you came here."
"I'm not leaving. Not yet. Eleanor, please." He pleads with her. He can't leave now. He's here.
"Park. I'm sorry. You can't stay here. You can't come back here either. You got my post card right?"
Park nod. Thinking about it brings the pain back.
'don't come back'
Those three words broke Park for months. Probably a year. Maybe two.
"Bye Park." She starts to walk inside. He grab her wrist and pulls her close to him.
"I'm not leaving, Eleanor. Not again." Park slams his lips against hers. He can feel tears on his face. Park's not sure if they're his or Eleanor's.
He pulls away for air. She looks at him. I know from her tear-streaked face that they were her tears not mine. Her hands grab his collar, and she kisses him again.
Park pull her closer if that's even possible. She sobs into his shirt.
"Don't leave." She whispers.
"Never."
