A touching story by guestsurprise, who owns Preza and Jocu.
Mythology belongs to its respective owners. I only own Goldie.
The poem is one that guestsurprise came up with. :)
Still In Your Heart
As Goldie was looking out of the window, she noticed that Preza was also looking out of another window across the room. As she walked over to her, she saw that Preza had a small sad smile.
"Preza? You okay?" She asked.
"Yes. I'm fine. This is for you, but don't open it until I leave, okay?" Preza said gently, now giving her a small folded up paper.
"Huh? Why?" Goldie asked.
"You'll see. Some things take privacy," Preza said with a small smile, now walking into the other room to do some things. Goldie was curious as she watched her leave.
"Wonder what this is?" Goldie asked out loud as she opened the paper. She then gasped at the poem before her and tried to hold back tears. Meanwhile, Jocu and Preza were watching from around the corner and they looked at each other.
"Do you think she will like it?" Preza asked him,
"I'm sure she will." Jocu smiled, now walking out with her to give her some privacy. Meanwhile, the poem read.
"As I watch you from where you are
The beauty you've become
You will always by my star
My sweet honeybun.
I may not be by your side
And you may shed a tear
Please my love, do not cry
Your happiness I hold dear.
I do not want to see you sad
Or holding in your grief.
I would prefer a smile and glad
My heart would have relief.
As the time continues to go
Do not fret, little one.
Just watch the sun from down below
For you, I'll always come."
Goldie held the poem to her and quickly ran and found Preza, who was sitting in the living room.
"Did you write this for me?" She asked.
"Yes. For you see…I too lost my father very, very recently and I know how you feel," Preza said, now feeling Goldie hug her. The two friends could only embrace as Jocu walked over and embraced them both. Sometimes pain we ignore, but then again…sometimes it is the best to share it and let others help you through it. And that is exactly what the three were doing together.
guestsurprise's words: Goldie, this was a special treat for you. I lost my father very recently too. But I have found that remembering the fond memories and their smile makes life a bit brighter every day. I hope this poem helps you remember him.
To guestsurprise: Thank you, Amiga. Yes, it does. And I'm so sorry for your loss. Memories of my father have helped me over the years and that he's in Heaven with no pain. Your father is up there too and one day, we'll see them again. Your father is now your guardian angel and he'll always be with you, no matter what.
To everyone else: Please leave guestsurprise a review, but no flames.
