Chapter 1: Fascination

To fascinate would be to hold some sort of attraction to hold attentively by a unique power, personal charm, unusual nature, or some other special quality. Like a toy, or a novelty car, or even jewelry, such objects are enough to peck at a person's mind and opens up a new world view of interests. Just the smallest things are enough to catch a simple-minded person's attention. Though, that is always in the case of some young child, or a grown man...A grown man named Sanji.

It's hard to trace back when exactly he grew this sudden fascination for a woman's body, but he knew then and there that it would always be engraved in his mind. Every day he would wake up to the thought of those womanly curves; His fingers would caress the image of the faint image of a woman's body, even, when he wanted to grab it, the image would run away. The ghostly image was always of a particular woman. He didn't know where he knew her from, but what he did know was that his mind wouldn't be sated until he had that woman in sight, but where was she from? How could he get his hands on such a woman if he didn't even know who she was?

Sanji cursed to himself as he got out of bed. His shaggy blonde hair covered up his bloodshot eyes from a night of drunken mistakes. No amount of alcohol could draw his attention away from his hidden desires. Not even a quick drag from his Marimo brand cigarettes could distract his mind from his demons. A soft sigh of pain and smoke escaped out of his mouth as he dragged himself to the large window of his apartment. "No matter how high up he was," he said to himself in between drags from his cigarettes, "falling couldn't hurt worse than being alive." He finished before burning the cigarette out against the tattered wallpaper.

The blonde turned his attention to his phone. A quick notification sound was enough to break him out of his trance. Who knew that something so simple could do that, right? He reached out and grabbed his phone to check on the notification, and what showed up was enough to send a shock through his heart, and a smirk to his face as he placed the phone faced down and walked to his bathroom to beginning another day's worth of work.
