Chapter 1

Rusty P.O.V

This was Rusty's first time at public school.

His parents had gotten fed up and decided to try public schooling. His sister, Princess was "Fine where I am, thank you." He had never liked the lazy life that his parents offered. The food has trash. He hoped the school had good food. At least he knew someone. Graypaw met him earlier when he went on a walk looking for food. Good food. Warm food. That's what Graypaw ate. He was going to a place called Warriors High to graduate for ThunderClan. There was three other Clans: Wind, Shadow, and River. Thunder sounded nice, and Graypaw was going, so he decided to sign up for team Thunder. He hoped they had good food.

Flashback to Earlier that moon

"Rusty! Pay attention!"

"Sorry, what?" Rusty said. He was day-dreaming of a mouse-meat pizza.

"Literature study is easy!" His dad, Jake said. "Really, Rusty, why can't you concentrate?"

"It's too… boring. There's nothing to do here!" Rusty shot back. "And all you make are PB&J!"

"Hey what's wrong with PB&J?" Princess asked. "All the sweet and salty, mmm!"

Rusty looked at her with revulsion. "All those flavors? Would it kill you to have some vole? Just 'cuz you're vegetarian, doesn't mean I am!"

"So now we're talking about food, not school." Nutmeg, his mom said sternly. "Really Rusty, Princess is a grade A student why can't you be?"

"This literature is about a da- dang pig!" And I like them as bacon only!

"So? It's a classic. Charlotte's Web. I read it as a kid." Jake said hotly.

"Maybe homeschooling just isn't the thing for him." Nutmeg whispered to Jake. "Remember that Warriors High school program thing that Jerry went too? He went to graduate for RiverClan or whatever."

"Talltail did. He's a old friend of mine. He's a dean there now."

"Give him a call! Ask him if Rusty can get in!"

"Okay… Dismissed for today." Jake said louder so Princess and Rusty could hear. "YES!" Rusty shouted. He meant to in his head, but it popped out.

"Finish the book for homework you two." Nutmeg said as Jake frowned.

"Yay! I only have a few pages left! It's such a good classic!" Princess squealed.

"Uuuuggghhhh." Rusty had about 100 pages left.

Later that day

(Jake P.O.V)

"Hey Talltail! How are ya?"

Jake was on the phone with his old black-and-white haired friend.

*It's Tallstar, now Jake. Where've you been?*

"Oh just, around."

*I heard you moved to the New Town, away from Clan Forest.* Tallstar said coldly. *Trying to stay away from me?*

"No. I just wanted a better life for my… kids…" Jake tensed. He knew that he and Tallstar had something between them. It just… couldn't be. Nutmeg loved him, and Tallstar lived with a Clan.

*What do you want then? I have to get back to work. High Schools are busy. And this one is as high-tech as a (beep) collage.*

"Wait, you work at Warriors High?"

*Yes, why?*

"Uh, well my son Rusty is not doing well homeschooling, and I remembered you went there, so-"

*We only accept Clan Forest students. Not vegetarians. Not wimps. True Warriors. Where do you think the name came from? They learn how to fight. How to hunt. Live truly hand-in-hand with nature. Even the Healers need to have something in them. Not lazy, over-fed, unknowing (beep) who don't know the hardships we face." Tallstar's words were more a sneer, and was filled with menace.

One, Rusty isn't vegetarian, two, he gets in street fights, and worst of all, three, has come home with a rabbit and called it dinner."

*Still not accepting him. Plus, I'm not the only StarClan da-DARN dean here. Crookedstar, Bluestar, and Brokenstar are here. And the Captains have a say.*

"Please Tallstar?"

*Jake…*

"Remember all we went through?"

*Y-yes, of course. I remem-"

"Then do it."

"For me."

End of Flashback

Rusty P.O.V

So here Rusty was, waiting for the ThunderClan Dean to get him.

Jake had grumbled as he drove around like crazy to find Rusty textbooks, dress clothes for "Events" (Which wasn't clarified), and meetings with the Deans and Captains of Warrior High.

But, finally, he was here. No more Charlotte's Web Whooooooo hoo!

He wondered where Graypaw was. It seemed about lunchtime, and he smelled mouse. *snifffffff* "Ahhhh."

"Hello, are you Rusty? I'm Bluestar, Dean for ThunderClan graduates." a woman with grey-blue hair and blue eyes asked Rusty.

"Ah, yes. That would be me." Rusty said, seeing a second person walk in the room and whisper something to Bluestar. "Okay."

"I'm Lionheart." The man had golden hair and was eyeing Rusty.

"Our Captain can't come right now. He's Redtail. There's a dispute with RiverClan right now." Bluestar said. We'll be with you in a moment. We need to dip into Clan Forest to see how things are going."

"Here, read this while you wait." Lionheart pushed a book towards him.

It was Charlotte's Web.
