Chapter One

*ring ring*

Tony jerked awake with a groan. It seemed like he had just fell asleep after that Air Force One case when suddenly his head was vibrating. It took him a moment to realized he had fell asleep using his cell phone as a pillow. After a second of squinting at the too bright screen he decided to screw it and answered.

"'lo?"

"Tony?" Came a male voice from the other end.

"Sammy?" Tony replied, a lot more awake at the quivering whisper that had answered him.

"Yea, uh do you think you could help me? I need a ride to Palo Alto."

"Palo Alto? Sam- where are you now?"

"uh the bus station? Somewhere in Nevada about half an hour out of Vegas? Dad was chasing a black dog near by and dropped me and Dean and a motel. When he got back he found my Stanford acceptance letter and then he started yelling and i started yelling an-"

"Whoa slow down Sammy! You got accepted into Stanford? That's great little bro!"

"Thanks, wish Dad thought that," the younger man grumbled into the phone. Tony rolled his eyes as he grabbed his laptop to start looking for where Sam might be.

"You know how Dad can be Sam, it took him 5 years to talk to me again after I left to join the police. Uh does Henderson sound familiar?"

"Wha- oh yea thats the place. I'm at uh Bus Station #1036."

"Okay, give me a minute, and there. I just ordered a one way bus ticket in your name from Henderson, Nevada to Palo Alto California. It leaves at 8 P.M. so half an hour?"

"Yea, shoot i totally forgot about the time difference. I'm so sorry Tony you were probably sleeping, I'll ju-"

"Don't even think about it Princess, you're still my brother and that means any time for anything."

"I- ok, thanks Tony."

"No problem, maybe I can come out at Christmas? It's been way too long since we hung out and Senior has an apartment out there in good ale Cali I can take advantage of."

"I'd like that Tony, anyway I really should let you go. I'll call you when I get settled at Stanford?"

"Sure kid, ttfn!"

Sam huffed out a laugh at the joke and Tony swore he could hear him roll his eyes.

"Bye Tony, night"
