"It's wrong."

"It isn-"

"It is. Do not lie to me. It is wrong, a sin, and a disappointment to this family. It is a disgrace."

"I'm so-"

"Don't.

Jace Anderson left the room without another word. His wife, Grace Anderson, just shook her head and followed behind him. Blaine was alone. Blaine was upset. No. Blaine was livid.

How could they just walk out like that? He couldn't control it. It wasn't a choice, and now his father hated him even more. It wasn't like his father was jumping for joy when Blaine came out, but he kept it under control. He never used to act like he does now. Now, if Blaine even brought up the word gay, much less the word of his current boyfriend Kurt, it would all go downhill from there.

Kurt.

Blaine hasn't had a real conversation with Kurt for weeks now. He pulled out his phone and dialed Kurt's number.

It rang twice and stopped.

Stopped.

Kurt had just ignored his call.

"I promise to always answer your phone calls. No matter what I'm doing."

Apparently Kurt never made the same promise.

On Monday morning, Blaine walked into school like he did every day. Nobody noticed him supporting his left side. Nobody noticed him wince when he sat down for his lessons. Nobody knew about how his father had lost control the other night, or how he had knocked Blaine into the granite counter.

Honestly? Blaine assumed they wouldn't care if they did know. If nobody cared about what happened at the Sadie Hawkins dance, then why would they care about his home life?

He still remembered the Sadie Hawkins dance like it happened yesterday.

"Come on Josh! It'll be fun."

"I don't know Blaine… They already hate us enough. We don't need to give them a reason to target us even more."

"It's one night. To be ourselves and to show those kids that our sexuality doesn't define who we are. That it doesn't matter."

Blaine blamed himself for what happened that night. He shouldn't have practically forced Josh to go. He knew, deep down, that it was risky and a stupid idea, but Blaine really wanted to have one night to where he could just be himself and not have a care in the world.

He never did see Josh again after the incident. And the fact that he caused him to move states, and cut off all of his connections with his old life still clouded his mind.

Just then, Blaine's phone went off.

It was a text. From Kurt.
