Author's Note: Okay you guys this is my first try at a Heroes Fanfic, it is a little bit of an AU and based around my fav. couple and characters Sylar/Gabriel and Elle. There is also a few other characters and love interests thrown in here but it is over all a Syelle Fanfic. If your interested in me posting more just comment and let me know.

Disclaimer (for the entire story): I do not own Heroes. And if I did Elle wouldn't be dead, she and Sylar would be together and baby Noah would be on the way.

11-8-2016 : So this is the first fanfiction I ever completed as well as one of my favorites. After reading through it the other weekend I was struck by the writing bug to spruce it up and maybe even throw in a well deserved Epilogue. For the most part however, the main story line will stay the same.

Chapter One - Stripped

"We have to find another way. I'm not willing to put her or our child in danger." he stated in an agitated tone as he ran his hand through his hair roughly.

"Your child… it's not your child she is carrying Peter. It's..." He questioned turning his hard and intense gaze on the younger man across the room.

"NO! That bastard has no claim to our son, or her for that matter. The moment he attempted to end their lives he lost any privileges where their concerned." Peter irrupted turning around to locking his vision with the other man, disbelief and rage shown clear in his eyes as if asking to be challenged.

"You've fallen for her, haven't you?" he more stated than question with despondency filling his voice.

Peter remained silent as his gaze stayed connected with Bennett's, the truth of his words was not the point of the conversation. His feelings about the woman who they were current trying to protect was not what Peter had come here to discuss with him. He was here for one purpose and one purpose only and that was to ensure that the two people he'd come to care the most about was not used to bait, in an attempt to lure the most dangerous man that walked the plant earth out of his hiding place, wherever that was.

"From the moment she opened her eyes, when you started playing the role of her father, there is no way you can honestly tell me she still means nothing to you. That even after all these months you haven't developed any feelings for her?" Peter threw back at him, knowing he was cornering Bennett with his own words, he wasn't blind. He noticed that he wasn't the only one who heart was on the line here, he knew Bennett had no right casting stones his way when he harbored growing feeling of his own where she was concerned.

It was Bennett's turn to remain silent while he pondered the next words he spoke carefully. Peter was correct in his accusations; against his better judgement he too had grown to love her as the daughter she believed herself to be. She was so easy to care about once her violent history was non-existent, no longer retaining the memories that had made her the torn girl she once was, a girl who would have killed you just as easily as she could look at you. She was now the vision of the person she would have been had she shown the love she had so desperately wanted, the love she had all but begged for from every person in her prior life. Only to have those people, himself included, treat her as if she were nothing more than a test subject, someone they could torture and manipulate into doing there bidding.

"Even if I agree, even if I help you get her out of here, you have to know someday he will find out she survived… and the reason she was able to survive. And when dose, when he realizes everything that we are attempting to hide, nothing is going to stop him from coming after her to finish the job, nothing's going to stop him from trying to kill us all." Noah stated wearily as he removed his glasses and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"If he does…" Peter begin only to be cut short a Bennett's reaffirmation of what he already knew to be true.

"When he does." Bennett corrected.

" I'll be ready." He stated with no hesitation because he no longer to cared risking everything for her and their son; they were worth it.

** 2 Months Later ***

It was late, he was beyond tried, and he knew if he had to keep this charade up much longer it would truly be the death of him. As easy as it was for him to fool the lot of them, letting them all believe that he had no idea that he was in fact someone other than the great politician Nathan Petrelli, the life of the mundane was driving him insane and not the kind of insane he enjoyed. Still he couldn't ignore the feeling in his gut that told him there was something he could learn as the man who had almost taken over him for some 4 months, something of importance to him personally.

Just as he was about to shift back into true form, someone who didn't make him sick when he looked in the mirror a knock sounded at the door of his office. With a sigh, he re-tightened the tie around his neck and took his seat back at the desk, looks like the night wasn't over after all, it was time for yet another show.

"Please come in." he said in a voice that was not his own and even after 6 months, it was still a tone he was not accustomed to.

"I'm sorry to interrupt you so late sir. A gentleman stopped by to drop off this file for you. He insisted that it needed to be handed over tonight."

"Un-huh, and what file would that be." he said with sincere disinterest as he took the vanilla envelope, laying on the desk without even a glance in the new intern's direction; it didn't take a genius to figure out that the only reason for the kid to be here this late was simply to try and in impress the "great" Nathan Petrelli in hopes on making his climb to the top a little bit easier. Pathetic if you asked him.

"I'm not sure. However, he did say to mention that his name was Bob Bishop and that you would be interested in the importance of some material his been able to find."
