She sat alone under a tree in the warmth of the spring day, altough she wasn't aware of anything but the thoughts she was wrapped up in. She barely registered anything until the shouts and loud laughter of some nearby children broke through her thoughts. "Muggle children" she sneered to herself though she couldn't muster the will to get up and torture them. She looked up and watched them, envying them their laughter and their innocence. Her own childhood had been lacking in laughter and as for innocence..well Black's weren't known for that. As she sat there she saw a young couple walk by, hand in hand and laughing with each other. A tear trickled down her cheek and ice clutched at her heart as she remembered why she was sitting there. Her Cissy, her darling sister and her lover, had fought with her and told her to leave.

The fight had started with Cissy getting jealous about Rodolphus. Bella was living with Cissy at the Malfoy Manor while there husbands, Rodolphus and Lucius, were still locked up in Azkaban. Even though Bella thought of her husband as nothing more than an educated hippogriff she did at times miss his companionship. Earlier being one such time. She'd been reading a book and had tried to start a debate about the main topic. Cissy was not one for debating and Bella couldn't help but miss Rod, even if it was just for his thoughts. Seeing Bella's face fall into a frown at the lack of a debate she'd asked about it and gotten jealous about how he was occupying Bella's thoughts. Bella, had for her part, tried saying to Cissy she viewed him as no more than a hippogriff but she was not to be appeased. The fight had culminated in Cissy breaking Bella's wand and ordering her to leave.

After leaving the manor Bella had walked for her ages. She had no friends and no place to go until she saw the bench she was currently sitting on. Now, as she sat there, with tears coursing down her perfect porcelain cheeks, she decided to go to Cissy and try to gain her forgiveness. She wasn't sure how but Cissy was hers, she adored her and couldn't imagine a life without Cissy. At the thought of that panic started clutching at her. She forced the panic away, she would win back her Cissy. She rose and wiped her tears away, she was a Black and Black's don't cry.
