Disclaimer: Hi peoples! My name is Lady Saturn, and this is my first Fist of the North Star Fic. It's gonna be kinda hard for me, cause I can't watch the show in order. . Stupid Showtime Beyond. Anyways, My character, Artemis, is completely fictional and doesn't exist in the show. This is rated R for violence and swearing, (well, the show is rated TV-14, so...) I hope you like it though. And if you haven't seen the show, watch it at 9:00 PM on Fridays on Channel 504.

Okay, if you don't have that channel, just tell me in the reviews, and I'll try to write a summary about the show, to make it clearer. Buh-bye!

Prologue: Memories

"Toki, who is that?" young Kenshiro asked, pointing inside another room. The brown haired man peered at what his adopted brother was looking at. Inside, their adoptive father was training a girl, looking about Kenshiro's age. Her dark blue hair was plaited into a braid, which was bouncing around as the girl moved. She wore simple clothing: brown leggings, a large tan shirt, held by a length of cord, and brown leather shoes. Her emerald green eyes were completely focused on her opponent, one of the workers in the place. Toki smiled.

"Kenshiro, that is our father's granddaughter." Ken looked up.

"She is?" Toki nodded.

"Our father had one daughter, but she past away years ago, leaving her daughter in his possession."

"What's her name?"

Toki looked into the room, and watched the child fight, frowning.

"I don't know. Her mother died, before she could even name her. She's been living apart from us, since she is not being taught the ways of Hoktoshinken (I think that's how it's spelt-LS)." Kenshiro continued to what her, curious about her. She moved swiftly, dodging every blow dealt to her. Her reflexes with quick and smooth, and her reaction time was impeccable. Kenshiro watched in amazement. Toki only smiled, ruffled the boy's hair, and walked away.

"Aii-ya!; the girl cried, kicking the man in the stomach, sending him right into the wall. He crumbled to the ground, blood dripping down his mouth and his head. Clutching his stomach, he wheezed and coughed.

"That is enough for now, my granddaughter," the old man spoke, walking over to her and resting a hand on her shoulder. She looked up, and smiled.

"Hai," she replied, nodding. Then, she looked over in Kenshiro's direction. The old man followed gaze and spotted Kenshiro, who stared in shock.

"Kenshiro, what are you doing here? I thought you were training with Jagi?" he asked. Ken blushed a little, completely caught off-guard.

"Well..."

"So, you are Kenshiro? My grandfather has told me much about you!" the girl said. ken looked up, surprised at this. The old man smiled.

"Yes, that is Kenshiro my child. But he must be leaving to continue his training now, don't you, Kenshiro?" He nodded and started to walk off. The girl ran up to Kenshiro.

"Hey, Ken. I want to fight you sometime soon, kay?" He turned around, smiled, and gave her the thumbs-up sign. "By the way, my name is Artemis!"

***

"Hey Ken, wake up!" he heard Bart say. Ken opened his eyes, and looked up. The buggy had stopped, and Lin was climbing out, Perraru in her arms. "We're in a town now! Let's get something to eat!" Bart said, his reddish brown hair sprinkled with sand. Ken said nothing, but got out of the vehicle. Quietly, he followed Bart and Lin into a small bar.
