At eighteen, Myrichia Black is killed accidentally in a car accident and goes to heaven. The girl beside her was meant to die, but offered up her window seat for the travel sick Myrichia at the last minute. So…off to heaven it is for virginal good girl next door Myrichia. Yeah, all well and good except nobody asked her if she wanted to go to heaven and deep down, she is cynical, stubborn, defiant and rebellious so, you guessed it, she ain't going. But sitting outside the pearly gates with Saint Peter glaring daggers at you sucks. And the incredulous looks you keep getting from other recently deceased when they hear you refusing to enter heaven is annoying. Bloody goodie-goodies. So when Hades turns up with a deal, you think: deal with the devil? Bad. Get away from heaven with its sickly sweet, shiny happy people holding hands? Excellent. The deal is this: William the Bloody aka Spike is all on his lonesome and after his recent and rather vicious boredom induced killing spree across Europe, Hades wants to reward him for services rendered and souls delivered.
Enter Myrichia, who only wants to live her life cut so unfairly short and who, upon hear the main reason she's in heaven (she's a virgin and God has a thing for virgins) she declares that if she'd known that prior to death, she'd have become the town bike for anything tall, dark, handsome and three legged. Hades simply offers to put her back on earth for another go at life; that is a trial run of just one month. If she succeeds and makes Spike a very happy vampire, she can stay on, but if Spike doesn't like her, she goes back to sitting on heaven's doorstep. He even throws in a beaut new body as a reward! However, he doesn't tell her about Spike's vampiric nature or why he is in Hades' good books. He just wants his blonde poster boy to have a little fun as his reward for said services and souls and Myrichia is Spike's perfect match in stubbornness and cynical negativity. Of course, little does Hades know, Cupid and Psyche are really behind it all and Hades has been manipulated into rewarding Spike by his wife Persephone who is a true romantic at heart and wants the secretly lonely vampire to finally have some happiness with a woman who will love him for him and not his grand sire. (Not mentioning any names *cough* Drusilla *cough*) Speaking of grand sires though, Angelus is back in town and he likes the pretty, exotic, fiery piece of ass his childe has hooked up with. After claiming right of sire, Angel finds Myrichia more than a handful…she's not happy about him calling her his possession and she is not so easily cowed or turned nutty as Dru. More like she laughs in his face and in the face of his advances in favour of her blonde haired companion. Is she too fiery for the dark haired vamp or can he and Spike share her? More to the point, can she be shared? Myrichia is full of life and vitality, but two immortal, horny men with unrivalled stamina and imagination could be too much for even the most energetic of women. What ever is one to do with two vampires and only a month to make up for a lifetime? SEX, SHOPPING, SEX, SIGHTSEEING, SEX, SPAGHETTI, (Huh?) & SEX. Did I mention sex?
