The town was dark and quiet. The streets of Whitechapel were barren, the citizens likely sheltered in their homes and dwellings, unknowingly hiding from the vampiric hunters outside. Among such predators was Erica, her golden eyes scanned the neighborhood hungrily and her stomach possessed an equally dangerous craving. The moon light that poured into the street reflected lightly off her fangs, which sat poised and ready to strike.

"Where the hell is everybody?" Erica groaned, Sarah was right there with her, the two had been hunting for well over a couple hours and at this point Erica was running low on self control. Sarah appeared to be on edge as well, she was all for delivery but even she was beginning to question her morals.

Sarah gripped Erica's arm for balance but she also felt the need to hold onto her, she could feel how tense the blonde was and she knew she shared the same level of intensity. It was true, they were built to hunt, every part of their bodies ready to spring into action at the sight of a decent meal. Despite their appearance the two of them were strong, perks to being a bloodsucker.

"Erica I'm sure it'll be fine, Benny's grandmother probably still has blood substitute on hand." Sarah assured her, she wasn't a fan of the substance but it would have to tide them over till a possible candidate came along.

"Didn't you tell me it tastes like shoes?" Erica replied, turning to Sarah, a suspicious look on her face. "I may be hungry but I'm not the desperate."

"Well we at least have to try it, we both know how you get on an empty stomach." Sarah persisted, nudging erica lightly in the arm. The blonde rolled her eyes in acknowledgment, they both knew what happened after extended periods of not feeding. Reluctantly, Erica agreed, sighing as she stopped walking.

"Just bring it to school tomorrow. Early!" Erica insisted, it may have sounded threatening but Sarah could hear to tinge of worry in the other girls voice. "I will, just keep your fangs away until then, no hunting without me."

Erica groaned out what sounded like an okay, retracting her fangs until they appeared normal. Sarah gripped her arm for a second in a goodbye before the two split off in their separate directions.

The school proved to be just as empty as the night before. Not a single student was around, it was almost eerie, the absence of hurried feet on the floor cleared the air for the aggravating buzz of the overhead lights. Rory wandered the halls in a mixture of confusion and thrill, the empty school was a playground for someone like him, no teachers meant no rules right?

He hovered down the hall, tapping each locker to a rhythmic tune in his head. He gave no mind to the cameras, he was a vampire after all. He was likely trying to fill the blank noise of the corridor, take his mind off how empty the place was, but he wouldn't admit it.

He flew backwards, tapping his foot in the air alongside his mischief, he was so caught up in his mindscape that he didn't notice the other vampire before he collided with her, knocking the two of them to the floor.

"Woah! My bad dude!" Rory exclaimed, his back still facing his collision victim.

"Watch it!" The voice was female yet distorted, the same way you'd expect to hear a vampire fighting off their fangs. Rory whipped around to face Erica, her gold-orange eyes glaring into him, her fangs nearly cutting into her lower lip.

Rory scrambled to his feet putting a bit of distance between himself and her.

"Y-your fangs are out." He stammered, trying to keep his cool.

"Really? I couldn't tell! Thanks for the update!" Erica growled sarcastically. She rose to her feet, taking a deep breath until her eyes returned to their natural color. Her fangs shrank down again.

"You should get a handle on those," he suggested, obviously referring to the weaponry in her mouth. "You really wouldn't want anyone seeing those."

"Oh please, there's no one here to see them. No humans or vampires, I can't even find Sarah." Erica clarified, there was a hint of annoyance on that last part, Sarah was supposed to be here with the substitute for the two of them.

Rory stepped closer in recognition, he hadn't seen Ethan or Benny today either.

"I thought I was the only one left, but now that you're here-" Rory started but was quickly cut off when Erica shot him a glare that almost screamed for him to watch his tongue.

"You spend the most time with them, any ideas?" Erica asked, she did sound more worried than she had before, but Rory knew she wouldn't say it.

"I…" He struggled for a minute, trying to regain any memories of the last time he's seen the others. His eyes lit up when a memory popped back into his head. "The cemetery! We were at the cemetery last night! But, after that a=everything gets blurry."

Erica sighed a bit before turning to continue down the hall. "Check the cemetery, I'm going to Sarah's house."

"Aye aye Captain!" Rory beamed, he dashed out the front doors to the cemetery.
