It was a another day in the kingdom. Kimmy's woke up fromm the sun shining from the window. Alex came into her room with his blood-presure cuff & the Radiation meter that he barrowed from the research lab. He check her blood-pressure & scanned her from the 1-131 MIBG treatment that Melman injected her through her IV line. The reading was on 2 so Alex needs to keep Kimmy home from School for a week. Alex went downstairs to talk ti Gia. So what Melman did that he put 1-131 iodine through her blood stream & it travels up where her tumor was. Meantime she was kept in a lead-line room until the radiation wares off. It came out from her bladder wher the catheter was left in. Her urine goes into s lead-line box were a long tube is conected to the toilet. The whole room had to be covered with plastic for the radiation. Kimmy was listening upstairs & came downstairs. I looked like from that scene from E.T. Alex jumped & looked at Kimmy. Oh wow! you scared us. Shouldn't you be in bed? Alex said. I'm fine Dad. Alex remined Kimmy that she had a little bit of radioacive 1-131 iodine lefft in her system. Alex got the scanner out & scanned Kimmy just to make sure. Alex was shocked. It went back up to 3 & was on the phone with Melman. Melman said the the radioactive 1-131 iodine take time to get out of the body & ask Alex to put aa new catheter in her to help drain out the radioactive 1-131 iodine. Alex got the new Foley catheter in to put into Kimmy with a drainage bag attached to it & told Kimmy to stay in bed. Melman also said that if it went up more, she'll have to go back into the Lead-Line room at the Hospital. Alex left Kimmy to rest & checked her urine bag. Radiation pee stared to drain out, Some how it go stuck so putting the catheter in helped to get rid of it,
The next morning. Alex scanned her & the levals went down to 0. Alex took the catheter out. Kimmy went to the clinic for a follow-up. Melman examed her. She was radiation-free. That afternoon, Somthing got in the mail from the research lab. It was a check for Kimmy being a test subject for the 1-131 MIBG thearpy up to $100,000. Alex & gia put it away for her for life savings collage fund. Theyy celabrated that night,
