The next day, Lindsay gathered all of the things Danny left in her apartment. Carrying the box she held in her hands up the stairs, she stopped in front of his door. Setting the box in front of the door, she stopped when she heard movement on the other side.
Voices, giggling, "Stop I've got to go to work," the voice said as the door swung open, and the two semi naked people stood on the other side.
She would say that she was shocked but she wasn't. Not really. She lost him a long time ago emotionally.
"Lindsay," was all he said. He didn't try to cover himself, or make excuses.
"Well at least I know you're not dealing with this on your own now," she said her head held high, "Just too bad you weren't man enough to break things off yourself." She added and turned on her heel and walked off.
She didn't let the emotion hit her until she was out of eye and ear shot, she was good at holding back her emotions after all, she had been doing it for 15 yrs.
