*Bee*
"Wake up!"
I groaned and rolled over, pulling the covers over my head.
"Bee-ee, wake up!"
She was shaking me. Again.
"Honey, what do you want?" I grumbled. I didn't have to see her to recognize her voice.
"It's Pride Day!"
"For what?" I muttered.
"LGBT pride, duh!"
My eyes flew open. I rolled onto my back and stared at her. "What?"
She was grinning. That didn't surprise me. "C'mon, I already picked out an outfit for you!"
I sat up. "Um, why do you care so much about this?"
She blinked. "Uh, 'cause I'm bi?"
I stared blankly. "Since when?"
She shrugged. "A couple years?" I finally realized that she was wearing a purple long-sleeved T-shirt, purple jeans, and purple low tops, and had her hair up in a cheerleader ponytail tied with a purple ribbon. "You didn't know that?"
I slowly shook my head. "Anyone else I should know about?" I realized how that could be taken. "I mean, I just… I'm surprised."
She rolled her eyes. "I'll tell you when you come downstairs. Now get dressed!" She threw a pile of clothes at me before running out of my room. It finally occurred to me to wonder how she'd gotten in in the first place.
I wound up pulling on a dark purple tank top, black jeans, and a black jacket, along with my clips, and walked downstairs.
"Bee!" Honey said happily, breaking away from the sizable crowd. "C'mon! Just because you're straight doesn't mean you can't enjoy this!"
I looked around and raised an eyebrow. Everyone was there: Cinnamon, Granyt, Jewels, Whistle, Lace, Flower, Sand, Quill, Yin, Panda, Crossbones, Melody, and Tails.
"If she is straight," Quill pointed out fake-skeptically.
"You asked who was part of this, right?" Honey rambled on. "Well Flower, Sand, and Panda are bi, Sand and Quill are trans, and Whistle and Lace are lesbians. Oh, and Yin says she's pansexual."
Yin nodded, grinning and sticking her tongue out slightly, causing Quill to take her hand, smiling.
I blinked, surprised. Sand and Quill I'd known about, and I'd thought Yin was bi, but that was it.
Flower ran over. "You knew I was bi, right?" she asked, smiling uncontrollably.
I shifted uncomfortably. "No…"
She looked surprised, then studied me with her lips pursed. I pressed my lips together, trying not to laugh at her expression. "You didn't think about the bracelet?"
"What bracelet?" I asked, confused.
She shoved her wrist in my face, showing me an "I 3 Boobies" bracelet.
"I…" I started, my eyes crossed to see it, "have no clue what to say."
"She's in a state of shock," Honey explained.
"Hey, Flower!" Sand called.
Flower turned around and he gestured for her to go back over to his little cluster. She ran back over to them.
"So, Bee," Honey said, linking her arm through mine and leaning on my side, "thoughts?"
"It's… unexpected," I said, looking down at her.
She giggled. "Yeah, I figured." She looked around at everyone else, her face a bit more serious. "So how do you feel about this? I mean… you don't think of us any differently, do you?"
What, was she crazy? "Of course not!" I exclaimed. "Why would I?"
She shrugged. "I don't know. I mean, this school is surprisingly accepting and everything, but still. Well, at least, it is compared to what you see on–" She blinked, snapping herself out of it. "What am I saying?" She turned back to me, wearing her patented grin. "Let's go celebrate!"
I let her drag me off and smiled a bit to myself. I didn't know what she had in mind, only that, whatever it was, it was going to make for an interesting day.
