Chapter 1
Ruby Rose cracked open her bleary silver eyes. Today was the day. She was starting at Beacon Academy, the highest ranking University in all of remnant. This is going to be awesome! Ruby thought to herself.
As soon as she finished that thought, Yang Xiao Long opened her bedroom door. "RUUUUUBBBYYYY! I'm so proud of yyyooouuu!" She said tackling her half-sister.
"Yang…...get off….can't breathe….." Ruby wheezed.
"Oh. Sorry." Yang said getting off of Ruby.
"Sooo…..who's getting shower first?" Ruby asked.
"You can go!" Yang said, having already taken a shower.
"Okay!" Ruby said.
*20 minutes later*
Ruby got out of the shower and put on a shirt with a rose on the front, jeans and a black and red military jacket with the name "Rose" printed on it. It was the last thing given to her by her mother, before she died.
She went downstairs to the kitchen, where Taiyang Xiao Long and Raven Branwen and Yang are sat at the table. "Hey guys." Ruby said, still uncomfortable as ever around Raven.
"Hey sweetie." Tai said.
"So, today's the day." Ruby stated. "Any breakfast left?"
"Sorry, I didn't think you were hungry." Raven said coldly
"Right, got it."
This is what it always was. Raven said she was sorry, but she wasn't. To her Ruby wasn't a daughter, she was a reminder, of her father's affair, a mistake. She was never treated right.
"Bus is here!" Yang shouted. So, no breakfast today great. Ruby didn't think today was going to go well at all.
