Prologue

Wendy had always had issues with fairytales.

It wasn't that she had issues with fantasies or anything. Oh no, she loved princes and castles just as much as the next girl. But what irked her most about fairytales was that the girls always needed saving. And then a prince on a white horse or something to that effect would ride up and kiss them or save them.

Case in point: Snow White. A beautiful girl named for the colour of her pale snowy skin ate a poisonous apple. A handsome prince just so happens to ride up on a white horse and thinks, "Hey! I think I'll just make out with this corpse!" Firstly, Wendy thought it was really gross that he wanted to kiss a dead body, especially since he didn't even know Snow White in the first place. He was probably just trying to get his rocks off or something.

Why couldn't a girl do the saving once in a while? But no, guys get all the glory in fairytales.

But what Wendy didn't know was that she should be thankful that boys had to do the saving in fairytales. Because if anything went wrong, well, it would be their fault.

Because when you're trapped in a place fairytales start coming to life… Well. Let's just say you'll want your prince out there to save you.

It started on a Monday.

Every Monday, Rebecca Tucker would stroll to the Nursing Home to see her grandmother and bring her some home-cooked food. Craig normally came with her, but that Monday he had extra basketball practice to go for. So, Rebecca ambled cheerfully through the streets by herself, swinging the brown picnic basket to and fro.

Then she heard a growl.

Frowning, the red haired teen whipped around, blue eyes narrowing at the roads behind her. Nothing. With a shrug, she continued on her way, pulling out her iPod from her black school bag and shoving the speakers into her ears.

Even through the blasting music, the growl was unmistakable.

In a panic, Red spun around again, ready to run. A huge ball of black fur launched itself at her.

She took off with a terrified shriek, throwing the basket up into the air as her feet pounded the pavement.

You'd better keep running, Little Red. Keep running. Faster, if you want to survive.

Who's afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?

AN: I hope that made sense to you! I can't give too much away, but basically fairytales start coming to life here. Like with poor Red over there. Yes! So please submit your OCs! :D
