Dipper's Guide to the Unexplained #71

Inside of the Wall

"Mabel! Is the camera on?"

"Yeparoo, bro-bro! So what are we filming anyway? A wall?"

I sigh in frustration. "Yes, Mabel. We're filming a wall. No! We're filming what's INSIDE of the wall."

"How did you get inside of a wall?"

"I didn't. There's a hole."

Mabel looked at the ground. "I don't see a hole."

"In the wall!"

"Oh."

"Please start filming."

"A one... A two... A ONE TWO THREE FOUR GO!"

I hold up a cardboard cut out. "This is Dipper's Guide to the Unexplained, anomaly number 71. The inside of this wall."

The camera zoomed in on the wall.

"I noticed a strange light coming from this wall the other day. So I decided to do some research, and I found out this wall has been standing since before Gravity Falls was founded. A number of people have tried to tear it down, but have failed due to unknown reasons. Suspicious, huh? But today we're going to find out what's inside of it."

"A disclaimer, folks. There is most likely nothing in this wall except for Dipper's paranoia. So don't waste your time with all this paranormal-y junk and do something better with your life!"

"Mabel! There is too something in this wall! And I'll prove it to you!"

I pulled out the loose brick in the wall. Mabel shoved the camera in there. We both saw what was on the screen. I gasped.

"H-how? What? Th-there-" I stuttered.

Mabel took a deep breath. "Dippingsauce," She began slowly, "this is your own paranoia at work. You're always so quick to jump to conclusions."

In the wall, there was a flashlight. That was on. The flashlight must have created the light.

Well. That was disappointing. "Let's go home, Mabel." I started to trudge away. "Anomaly number 71 was a false alarm."

"Don't worry, bro-bro! I'm sure you'll find another paranormal thing," Mabel chirped as she ran after me.

"Whew." Jeff the Gnome let out a breath. "Thank the Great Gnome they fell for our decoy."

"Shmebulock!" Shmebulock agreed.

"Uh, yeah. Whatever. Let's get back to Club De Gnome!"

And the dancing began.

I thought I heard a laugh coming from the wall. I looked back, but saw nothing. Mabel's right. Probably my own paranoia.

I walked on.

I really think this would be a cool short.
