"Hello?" Ib whispered to the winged man in front of her. "C-can you see me?" He nodded shakily. "Yes...I can see you..." he sadi softly. Ib's smile widened. 'He can see me!' She thought. 'He can see me!' Ib let her hand extend to his. He let her help him up, and dusted himself off. "I'm Garry..." he said, in a soft, sweet tone. "You aren't supposed to be in this world anymore, are you?" He asked. Ib shook her head. "Do you want me to help you?" She shook it again. "Why?" Ib looked up. "Helping killed my whole family."

He frowned. "Ib, that isn't your fau-"

"Yes it is!" She barked. "I killed my family! If I wouldn't have been so stupid they'd still be alive!" Her voice cracked on the last part, and began to waver. "It was just a doll...and, if I w...would have been...s...s..smart...than m...mommy daddy and ...b...big sis would still be alive..." Garry's eyes widened. "What do you mean, dear?"

"I had a doll. A b...bunny named Cupcake...I took her out on the boat with us..." Ib shivered, her pale skin staining with cold tears, as if she were crying a lake in the middle of winter. "Big sis...she took the doll, mad at me because she didn't have one...eventually...s...she threw it! And...I was..s...st..." Ib was sobbing her sentences now, lower lip shaking. "Stupid enough to jump in after it. The water...was so c...c..cold...and I...I didn't know how to swim! I kept falling, further and further, until I felt my head hit the ground..." Ib shuddered, water dripping from her faded, old, worn out red swimming suit. Garry took his jacket, placing it around her. "Can you feel it? Can you feel warmth?" He asked.

She shook her head. "But..." she cuddled herself in it. It was nice...even if she couldn't feel it. "When I woke, my parents had already gone to the other world. Big sis screamed at me, saying how bad I was...until I ran away..." she cried. Garry took his had, reaching for her shoulder. Ib looked at him. "I don't want to...be alone again." Garry hugged her. "You won't be. I'll help yo-"

"NO!" Ib screamed. "O-okay! I'll at least take care of you, alright?" Ib nodded. "Why don't you come home with me?" He asked, a warm smile on his face. "I can get you fixed up..."

"Sure..." Ib said. 'Not like it's going to change anything. I still feel as cold as death.'

"It's not big but-"

"Woah!" Ib interrupted. "What's that?!" Ib ran over to a giant robot looking thingy, and pressed a button on it. "A present I got for my birthday. Not many people would believe it's amazing." 'It's just a toy' Garry thought. 'A really old one.' "I've never seen anything like it!" Ib said, and pressed a button, causing it to turn on. "It's a game cube." He said. "A really old gaming console." Ib turned to him. "It's so cool! I've never had a gaming console before. All I had was stuffed bunnies. An occasional phone call, too. But it was in a walkie talkie and only me and big sis talked." Garry nodded, listening to Ib talk. 'She must have died a long time ago.'

"You wanna play it?" Garry asked, smiling happily. Ib nodded eagerly. The two sat on a couch, playing the game, giggling. "Wooow! This is soooo coooool!" She said, her blood red eyes sparkling. Garry smiled, hearing a yawn from his ghostly friend. "You wanna head to bed?" Another nod.

"Will you brush my hair?" She asked quietly. "Of course!" He exclaimed. "I would love to~!" After a while of brushing, Garry managed to finally brush out all the knots. "Ib, the lake smell is still there. Let me wash you." Ib froze.

'Water?!' She thought
