AN: Teen Titans was probably the first really long show that I watched and even now like ten years later, as I rewatch the seasons, they are still amazing. It introduced me to the concept of shipping even though I was too young to understand it, I still felt like it would be cool if certain characters were bf and gf. It's sad because the first teen titans episode that I ever watched was the special Trouble in Tokyo.
Disclaimer: I don't own the Teen Titans, but if I did I would have kept it going for a few more decades ^.^
Raven POV
It had been a month since the whole Tokyo fiasco. Things were still awkward between Robin and Starfire but they were making steps in the right direction. Some nights they would fly to the top of the tower and just stare at the stars. Raven often found them up there in the mornings sleeping next to each other. They would just blush awkwardly and go to their rooms. Part of the awkwardness was due to Cyborg and Beast Boy who tried their hardest to interrupt Starfire and Robin as a joke. Raven was seriously considering bashing their skulls together and throwing them into the bay. She knocked on Starfire's door.
"Starfire" she said in a monotone voice
The door swung open immediately and she saw Starfire holding Silkie in a maternal manner.
"Hello friend Raven, please come in" Starfire exclaimed.
They sat down on Starfire's bed and while Starfire was crooning to Silkie, Raven decided to start talking.
"Star you know I'm an empath right? I can practically see the feelings that you and Robin have for each other. So why aren't you guys going any further. As far as I know, he hasn't asked you out on any dates or anything like that"
"The titans always come first friend Raven, Robin has always repeated the importance of keeping the public safe, our relationship can come afterwards." she said without meeting Raven's eyes.
"Starfire…why aren't you telling me the truth? I can't help you unless I know."
Starfire sighed and focused on petting Silkie.
"The truth is that we are scared of ruining it. We are both afraid of messing up and ruining it forever. And it seems that Beast Boy and Cyborg do not wish for us to succeed."
"What have they been doing Star?"
"They come in at inopportune times and it ends up ruining the moment. They are quite adept at it."
Inwardly angry at the two jokesters, Raven maintained her composure.
"Don't worry about them anymore. Just focus on trying to connect with Robin. He's still the same awkward boy who created this team and you are probably the only one who can get through to him."
Starfire brightened up after this comment and decided to go for a short morning flight. Raven decided to find the two troublemakers who were making Robin and Starfire miserable. Like usual they were sitting in front of the TV playing games and yelling at each other. She created a giant hand and grabbed them both and held them above the bay. She floated out near them.
"Uh Raven, we were kinda in the middle of something" Beast boy nervously remarked.
"If you ever try to purposely bother Robin and Starfire again, I'll give you to Trigon" she threatened.
They were completely cowed and agreed instantly, yes they would never bother them again, in fact they would never even look at them again. As she set them down, they were both shivering and terrified. She turned around and went towards Robin's room. On her way there, she went by the training room and saw Robin and Starfire sparring. Once they stopped, she noticed that Robin was asking Starfire something. She listened really carefully and heard "Would…..like…date….?" but was unable to hear distinctly. Starfire lifted Robin up and hugged him in joy.
A smile crept onto Raven's face and she decided to return to the living room. Who knows, perhaps her powers could also put an end to the eternal meat and tofu argument every morning.
