Naraku had taken his usual spot in his room by the windows in his castle.

Naraku imagined that he was happy, with Kagome at his side.

But all he could still see was the him holding the jewel.

A vision of Kagome kissing Inuyasha, standing by Inuyasha's mind slipped into Naraku's mind.

Naraku took his sword and stabbed his heart, leaving a note by the very almost full jewel shard addressed to: 'Kagome Higurashi'.

Inuaysha, Kagome, Sango and Miroku ran into the room to see Naraku lying in a pool of blood with a sword protruding from his left breast.
