"Danny!" Steve sprinted down the edge of the field, eyes locked on his partner.

Without looking, Danny released the football he was holding in a perfect spiral toward the end zone, well ahead of Steve. Steve laughed and pushed harder, watching the ball's arch. At the last minute Steve threw out his hands and the ball gently settled into them. Without breaking stride Steve tucked the ball under his arm and finished his sprint to the goal line.

"YES!" Danny cheered, throwing his hands up and jumping into the air.

Steve held the football over his head and laughed as he jogged back and tossed it to his best friend.

"Nice throw, Danny. I wasn't sure you were going to hit me. You weren't even looking at me."

Danny laughed. "By this point I don't have to look at you. You're too predictable."

Steve playfully knocked the ball out of Danny's hands. "Predictable? Please… I've forgotten more about football than you'll ever know."

Danny raised his eyebrows and took a deep breath, preparing the rant Steve expected.

"Ladies…" The pair was interrupted by a familiar voice of reason. They looked up to see Chin striding across the grass. "I would have thought you'd have outgrown catch by now. Isn't that a kids' game?"

Danny snorted and redirected the full fury of the rant aimed at Steve a moment ago towards the newcomer. "Catch?" he exclaimed. "My friend, this is not a simple game of catch. We are practicing the game-winning touchdown catch that will happen at this year's Thanksgiving game. If you're lucky you will bear witness to this highlight-reel-worthy moment."

Chin rolled his eyes. "Well practice is cancelled. We've got an issue."

Steve and Danny immediately dropped the goofiness and focused on Chin's words.

"What is it?" Steve asked.

Chin shook his head. "I don't know for sure. HPD just received a threat specifically against 5-0."

Danny looked surprised. "What kind of threat?"

Chin looked somber. "I think you're going to want to see this for yourself."
