Part One: Another One Bites the Dust

Christian, María, Brock, and Vonnie ran from a huge, spiked tentacle beast, a bohemoth so terrifying, describing the likes of it could never truly show the horrors the quartet of heroes witnessed just by viewing its mere existence.

The 4 heroes were trying to lure the monster to a trap they had set, about ten feet away. They continued running, and surely this would be the worst time to trip, or run out of energy. Thank goodness, of course, that didn't seem like it was going to happen to the 4 heroes.

In fact , they were now just about near the trap. Everything was going just as planned, as usual...Until Vonnie's foot got caught on a vine that she didn't see.

Her leg was caught in the vine, that seemed almost like it was purposefully trying to tie her leg down, to prevent her escape. Brock lunged over to his wife, so he could free her from the vine.

Christian and María, meanwhile, tried to distract the monster until Brock could get Vonnie free.

María eventually went to help Brock free Vonnie, as it had been too long, and she still wasn't freed.

Soon enough, Christian was weakened by the struggle of Man vs. Beast, but María managed to get a section of vine, making a lasso out of it, and she ran to attempt to tie up the monster's tentacles. The monster now had Christian captive, and began to run another direction, so María chased after it.

She finally managed to lasso the beast, stopping it from moving any further.

"Christian?" María called out.

No answer.

She climbed over the monster, and found her husband, who was half eaten, and she screamed loudly, and ran back to find Vonnie and Brock.

When she found them, they had been looking for her.

"María, where's Christian?" asked Vonnie

"H-he's...He's dea-"

"MARÍA WATCH OUT!" Brock called out, as the tentacled beast, who was now freed grabbed María and ate her in a bloody, gorey, horror show like scene.

Vonnie and Brock ran, just barely escaping with their lives.

Brock and Vonnie returned home fairly late that night, to their son Penn, and Christian and Maria's daughters, Jane and Corona, who were sleeping over like they usually did on missions that could go on past 9pm.

Brock and Vonnie entered their home, and Jane, the older of the Mason's daughters, was sitting down, using her laptop.

Penn and Corona were likely asleep upstairs.

The Zeros had somber expressions on their faces.

Jane looked up. "Hey Mr. and Mrs. Zero...where are my parents?"

They cringed. Jane knew the worst had happened.

"Mommy...Daddy?" a five year old Penn Zero entered the room, and following behind him was a five year old Corona Mason, holding a stuffed animal and smiling.

"Mr. and Mrs. Zero, where's my mommy and daddy?" she asked.

Again, Mr. and Mrs. Zero cringed.

Just how do you tell a five year old girl her parents are dead?
