"Why am I here?" bellowed Garrus Vakarian.

Here turned out to be a meadow, far too open for Vakarian's tastes. There were flowers everywhere, and a stage platform, with an archway, facing an audience of lawn chairs. Standing in front of him and to his right, there was a girl with yellow hair.

The blonde smiled tentatively. "Well, you see, my name is Eowyn, and my fianceé Dany and I are going to be married today. And you'll be marrying us, if you don't mind, that is. We asked for Batman to marry us. Are you Mr. Batman?"

He didn't want to be mean to the girl, but this open space was a target waiting to happen, and he didn't entirely trust these strangers or this deceptively pretty land. Besides, he had his own fellow to go back home to. Thinking fondly of Emrys, Garrus nearly growled, "I don't know who the hell Batman is, but if you're getting married, let's get on with it."

A short fellow blew out a tune: do-re-mi-sol-mi-re-do do-re-mi-do-ti-sol-mi fa-mi-re…

Two little girls, shorter than any he'd ever seen, walked down the aisle together, scattering flowers, and an old man with a robe, wizard-like, followed, leading another blonde down the aisle. Seriously, what was it with these people and blonde hair.

"Sir—"

"Gandalf the Pearly Sparkling White, that's me. Alright, Dany dear, I've given you away now." The man made for an empty seat in the front row, and the audience chuckled, and a dragon roared to no one's alarm but Garrus.

"We are gathered here today to see a wedding. Do you, Eowyn of Rohan, take this woman as your bride?"
"I do take Daenerys as my bride, forever to cherish, dragons to ride, in sleep and in life."

Do you, Daenerys Stormborn, take Eowyn as your bride?"
"I do take Eowyn as my bride, forever to cherish, elves to see and hobbits to tend, in life and in sleep."
"You may kiss the—"

But they hadn't waited for permission. Blue eyes met blue eyes, lips touched lips, fingers tangled in hair, girl met girl.

And Garrus woke up back home, next to his Merlin. That was an odd dream, he thought to himself.
