Never Let You Go

Cassie, Gena, and Rachel were just baking some cookies and cakes for her school bake sale when Four Arms and Heatblast came in for a taste.

"I want to taste some of the sugar ones," Heatblast smiled.

"I want some of the chocolate chip!" Four Arms stated as all four of his arms swirled around the girls and tried to get in the mixing bowl. The girls laughed and the aliens had a great taste of the cookies. Then they heard a knock on the door. Rachel went to open it and there was a large man standing at the door. He was intimidating and looked very mean.

"Well, you must be Ms. Jocklin, I presume," he said coolly. Rachel was shocked at how he knew her.

"Yes. I am. What can I do for you?" She responded.

"I'm here for Cassie Carraba. She is to come with me. My name is Sergeant Hammer. I will get right to the point. I am her uncle," he said with a forced smile. Rachel was shocked at this news and she saw that Gena and Cassie were both standing in the doorway. Both were as pale as sheets.

"What? I don't have any living family! The orphanage said so!" Cassie said her eyes wide. He walked over to her and lifted her chin in a rough manner.

"They did not know about me because I was overseas at the time. You seem so…soft. No matter. I will make a soldier out of you yet." He smiled roughly as he scanned over his new niece. Rachel saw that Gena's face was a sickly green and she looked like she was going to pass out. Four Arms and the other aliens listened to everything from the back room and Four Arms' eyes all opened wide at the news.

"WHAT?!" He roared, but Heatblast quickly covered his mouth. Sergeant Hammer jumped at the loud voice.

"Who was that?" The startled man asked.

"Oh, umm...just a friend," Rachel said quickly. "B-But this can't be! Someone could be adopting her any day now!" She couldn't say Gena yet because she knew Gena and Four Arms wanted it to be a surprise.

"That is too bad because I have authorization right here. She comes with me now," he responded as he handed her the papers. She scanned through them and saw that he had full custody of Cassie. With a sad nod, Rachel looked at Cassie.

"Cassie…sweetheart…you must go with him for now," she said as she hugged her tightly. Cassie looked a sickly green.

"B-But this can't be! It can't be!" She said as tears started to form. Gena ran and held her closely too to where they all were in a group hug.

"Don't be afraid, Cassie. We will get through this!" She said.

Before Cassie could say a word, the sergeant grabbed her.

"Go and get your items. We will be leaving on the ship tomorrow," he said sternly.

"SHIP?!" Gena gasped.

"But of course. I need her to be with me when I go to train my men on the sea base. Cassie…go," Sergeant Hammer said as he looked at her. Cassie sadly walked up the stairs. Four Arms and the other aliens watched helplessly. They couldn't follow her or else her uncle would see them.

"Cassie…no. They can't take her away," Heatblast said sadly.

"My girl. My daughter…no they can't do this!" Four Arms said. He saw that Cassie was going up the stairs and her uncle was following her. A few moments later, he returned with her and her stuff.

"Well done. I am glad to see you packed quickly. Come, time is wasting!" He said as he grabbed her and hurried. She looked over her shoulder as he pulled her to the jeep and she could see Vamps and Four Arms looking at her through the window. Their eyes were filled with nothing but sorrow. She then saw Blitzwolfer looking at her from a tree.

"We will get you back, Sweetpaws," he mouthed to her. She nodded to him and he saw her crying. She then turned and waved at Vamps and Four Arms and she saw them both put their hands on the window glass but they couldn't wave because it hurt them too much.

"Hurry up!" He ordered and threw her in the car. Rachel and Gena both raced to the car and held each of Cassie's hands for a brief moment.

"Be strong Cassie! We will get you out of this," Rachel whispered as she kissed her gently on the forehead.

"I love you. I will get you back," Gena said as she hugged her tightly.

"WE will get you back." Rachel added.

"I know you will," Cassie added, while her tears started to flow. Suddenly, the jeep took off and before they knew it they couldn't even hear the engine. Rachel turned and looked at Gena; she looked even more sick than before.

"Gena. We will help you get her back. You both are a part of this family," Rachel said as she put a hand on her shoulder. Gena turned to her and ran a hand through her own silver hair.

"This is all my fault! If I had done more, none of this would have happened!" She said.

"Done what?! You have tried for months with the adoption process and it was almost done had he not come along!" Rachel combated. Gena just covered her face and turned back to the mansion. Rachel sighed and tried to follow but Gena then jumped in her car and headed for her house (she only used her house as a place where she needed to be alone since she lived at the Grant Mansion now). Four Arms ran and saw her leave!

"Gena? Where's my baby going? I can't lose both of my babies tonight!" He panicked. He was about to follow, but Rachel stopped him.

"Leave her for now. She is really upset, Fours. We can comfort her when she comes back tomorrow," Rachel said as she tried to force a smile. Reluctantly the Tetramand nodded as he watched her drive further and further away.

2 days later…

Rachel was very concerned. She had not heard anything from Cassie or Gena. She tried to call but Gena would not answer her phone. She hadn't been to the mansion for days and no one had heard from her.

"I'm going to find Gena," Rachel said to Rook. "Please tell the others to look for her too and to look for some sign of what happened to Cassie."

"I will. I will get Vamps, Shocks, Blitz, and Four Arms to search the west while Swampfire, Heatblast, Big Chill, and I search the north and south," Rook responded. Both parties ran off to find the missing girls.

Meanwhile, Gena was in her room at her house and she was scanning through papers and anything she could find in order to try to regain custody of Cassie from her uncle. She then sat defeated on her bed and started crying sadly.

"This is a complete mess! How could this happen?!" Gena sobbed. Suddenly, she felt arms wrap around her in a little hug. She turned fast and saw Rachel sitting next to her.

"Easy Gena. It's me. I let myself in. Please don't be upset; we will get through this. But Four Arms and the others, as well as myself, have been very concerned about you. You didn't come back to the mansion and we haven't even received calls from you," Rachel said as she gently wiped her friend's tears away.

"How can I come back to you all as a failure? I let my future daughter slip through my fingers!" Gena said sadly. Rachel then noticed that Gena looked like she was getting sicker than before.

"You're not staying here alone and you're not going to fight this battle alone either. You're coming with me." Gena tried to resist but Rachel gently got her to the feet and pulled her down the stairs, out the door, and into her car.

"I'm not taking no for an answer, Gena. You're sick and I need to get you help." The owner of the Grant Mansion said as she put Gena in her car and drove her back to the mansion. Once she was back to the mansion, Four Arms was there to greet them.

"Gena…sweetheart. There you are. Don't scare me like that! Why didn't you return my calls?!" He said as he cradled her to his chest.

"I'm sorry, babe. My phone is dead. I just didn't want to return without Cassie. I failed!" She said as she slowly started crying.

"Don't cry, baby. You did not fail. We will get our daughter back. She's our baby," he said. He then pulled Rachel into the hug and Rachel helped wipe Gena's tears. They helped her up to her room to rest for a while as Frankenstrike gave her some medicine. Four Arms then kissed her passionately and then left for a quick second to get her some tea.

"Try to cheer up, Gena. Everything will be alright," Rachel giggled as she poked her friend playfully. Gena laughed and tried to get away but Rachel was after her.

"Come back here! You need cheering up!" She laughed as the owner of the Grant Mansion tickled her a bit more.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA RACHCHCHEL STOHOHOHOP!" She laughed hard. Four Arms laughed when he came in and saw the girls kidding around. After a few more tickle moments, Rachel then decided to let them have some alone time and she went to sleep for the night.

3 days later…

"Guys! I just saw Sergeant Hammer in town and it looks like Cassie is with him!" Vamps said as he flew down near them. They all jumped in the car and took off towards the town. They did see that it was Cassie. But she was so different. She looked unhappy and depressed and she was dressed in a soldier uniform.

"What did they do to her!?" Shocks cried out as he tried to get to her but Four Arms held him back.

"Cassie, is that you!" Rachel called out. Cassie tried to go to her but she was smacked on her head by her uncle.

"Attention! You will stand at attention Cassie!" He snapped.

"Don't you dare hit her like that!" Rachel said, almost in a scream.

"You have no right to talk to me like that! I will do as I please! I have full custody of her!"

"You won't for much longer. We will get her back!" Rachel responded harshly. The sergeant then got close to her face.

"You will not challenge me, Ms. Jocklin. Cassie will stay with me because I tell her too. We wouldn't want the Forever Knights getting her now would we?"

"What do you know about them?!"

"As much as you. Now leave…," he said coldly. Rachel defiantly turned from him and looked at Cassie.

"Cassie, hon, are you really happy?" Rachel said, clearly concerned.

"I could not be happier. It is my duty to follow my uncle. Please disturb me no more," Cassie said. Rachel was a bit shocked but as she looked deep in Cassie's eyes she could see that her eyes were welling up with tears. Cassie was hiding something and she needed to find out what. Rachel turned and faced Sergeant Hammer.

"I don't know what you've done to my Cassie…but you will never get away with this," Rachel hissed.

"You MONSTER!" Gena yelled and she was about to give him a harder tongue lashing but Rachel gently pulled her back.

"Gena. Let's go. Trust me…this isn't over," Rachel said as she glared at the sergeant. He smirked and the girls wanted to do nothing more than wipe that dumb grin off of his face.

Later that night…

Everyone was sick to their stomachs. The sergeant had Cassie and they were planning on taking a ship to the outskirts of town and then out of the country.

"We have to do something!" Swampfire said as his flame heated up.

"I know, but what?!" Shocks replied, clearly panicking.

"We have to think of a plan and soon or else we may never see Cassie again," Gena said. Her face was red and her silver-green eyes were red from crying so much.

"That won't happen! We will figure this out even if I have to go myself and grab that sergeant by the neck!" Four Arms challenged as he started to growl.

"Everyone remain calm. We first need to get Cassie away from him," Rachel said.

"She is under some kind of spell. For her to stay by his side he must have some sort of influence over her! We just need to find out what it is," Vamps said as he walked up and down the ceiling.

"I've got it. Tonight. AmpFibian and Gena come with me. We will see what's wrong," Rachel said.

Once it was closer to nightfall, the three slipped out and found the boat that was going to be leaving in a few days. The sailors and soldiers were already boarded and asleep.

"Come on. I sense Cassie's room this way," AmpFibian whispered as they all made their way to her quarters. They knocked gently and all they heard was gently crying. They opened the door slowly and saw Cassie kneeling on one knee and she had the back of her shirt sliced open and bruised. Her back was covered with scars and bruises. Once she heard the approaching footsteps, she jumped to her feet and held her arms in a defensive position.

"Bring it on!" She challenged as she furiously wiped her tears. Once she saw it was Rachel and the others, she put her guard down.

"What are you all doing here!? You're in danger!" She panicked as she looked around to make sure no one else was coming.

"Cassie, look at you! What have they done!?" Gena almost screamed as she grabbed her and held her closely. Cassie hugged her back, but she gently pulled back.

"Please….you all must leave. You have to go."

"Not without you. We now have proof that you've been injured under his care," Rachel said confidently.

"You all don't understand! It's not that! I have to stay!"

"Why?! What could possibly be a good reason to stay here!?" Gena snapped, angry that her friend and soon to be daughter was injured.

"She is trying to save all of us," AmpFibian responded. All three girls looked at him. "Cassie's uncle is a partner of the Forever Knights and they have been using her to try to gain information about where the aliens are. Her uncle doesn't know that they are living at the Grant Mansion and he has been abusing Cassie in order to get the information out of her so he can tell the Forever Knights," he continued after reading Cassie's mind.

"That's why you all must go! Don't worry. I will never tell them." Cassie said bravely.

"I know you won't because I won't let you stay here," another voiced responded. They turned and saw Blitzwolfer walk in softly. He went by Cassie and licked her wounds on her back. She winced a bit.

"Easy, Sweetpaws…this will heal them up a bit quicker," he said in between his licks. As he groomed her, Rachel felt her eyes welling up with tears. She knew that Cassie was willing to sacrifice herself for them and she couldn't let her die like this.

"Cassie. I appreciate what you're trying to do, but you have to leave," Rachel said as she kneeled down to her level.

"I can't. You all mean more to me than my own life. You gave me a home and a family. I only wish that I could stay with you forever," Cassie said sadly. Suddenly, she heard footsteps.

"Please you all must leave now!"

Cassie quickly gave Blitzwolfer a hug and the others a hug and tried to push them out the door and towards the path leading back to shore. Rachel and Gena were now starting to cry as they saw Cassie waving goodbye and saluting them as she headed back inside.

"I'm not leaving…not without her," Blitzwolfer stated. But Rachel gently tugged on him.

"Come on, Blitz. We need a new plan! Let's regroup!" She said sadly as they all ran back towards the mansion.

Two days later…

Rachel and Rook slowly walked into the living room and saw all of the aliens looking miserable. Shocks was looking depressed and Vamps looked like cracking a smile would kill him. Gena sat on Four Arms' lap and he kept rubbing her back to comfort her. Swampfire and Blitzwolfer looked like they were the misery twins.

"Guys…we have to keep trying," Rachel said quietly.

"We must keep thinking of a better plan!" Rook added.

"We haven't given up; we just need to hurry before they take her away forever!" Gena said in a panicking tone. Rachel walked over and tried to calm her and she did after a few moments.

"Easy Gena. We aren't beaten yet! I…," she was cut off when Feedback ran in.

"HURRY! THEY MENTIONED THAT THEY ARE GOING TO SAIL IN A FEW HOURS!" He said almost in a scream. All the aliens were headed towards the door in a stampede; they weren't thinking about blowing their cover, they only wanted to save Cassie.

"Whoa, hold on! All of you change into your human disguises before we leave or else we will have an even bigger problem!" Rachel said as she blocked the door with her body. The aliens quickly changed and they waited patiently for her to show them the way to the ship. Once they got to the sea dock, Four Arms (in his human form) led the aliens towards the ship. He was just in time to see Sergeant Hammer hit Cassie hard on her face.

"I WON'T ASK AGAIN! WHERE ARE THE ALIENS?! I KNOW YOU'VE SEEN THEM!" The sergeant yelled. He was beginning to get concerned because the Forever Knights were pressuring him to get them that information.

"Never…," Cassie hissed angrily as she rubbed the blood off of her face. The leader of the Forever Knights then came out of nowhere and grabbed Cassie by her neck.

"Listen child…maybe you didn't hear him correctly. I want to know where the aliens are now…," he snarled angrily. Suddenly, he heard a roar and before he knew what was happening, he was hit by a very strong force and knocked backwards. Cassie was shocked too before she was picked up by gentle arms.

"Easy, baby girl. We're taking you home," Four Arms smiled. Suddenly, the Forever Knights surrounded all of them with laser guns.

"The aliens! They must be in human form! Shoot everyone!" The leader shouted. The aliens then changed back to their alien forms and attacked. Vamps jumped at the leader and they fought each other with savage passion.

"GET THE CHILD!" The leader screamed. Suddenly, the aliens and the knights were fighting so hard that it was enough to make someone have a headache. Vamps slashed and kicked while Blitzwolfer jumped and bit some of the guns in half. Rachel then made a grab for Cassie to get her out of the way.

"Cassie, run! It's dangerous here!" Rachel yelled. Gena came and pulled both of them towards the car.

"Come on! Hurry!" But the leader heard them making a getaway and he turned and pointed the gun at them.

"IT'S RACHEL JOCKLIN! GET HER!" He screamed and shot towards her.

"NO!" Cassie screamed and jumped in front of Rachel and took the shot.

"CASSIE!" Four Arms, Gena, and Rachel screamed at once.

"YOU ALL WILL PAY FOR THAT!" Vamps yelled as he punched the leader as hard as he could. Four Arms then started punching all of the knights and nothing but unconscious knights surrounded them after a while. But he finally stopped because most of the knights were defeated and Cassie was in critical condition. Vamps grabbed her and headed for the hospital. He knew he was the only one who could get her there the fastest.

"You all meet us at the hospital!" He yelled as he flew with her in his arms. Vamps flew fast and he could feel her bleeding. Once he arrived at the hospital, Vamps put her on the ER counter and he got everyone's attention.

"HELP, PLEASE! SHE NEEDS HELP NOW!" Vamps ordered as he got the nurses' attention. He then flew away to avoid any more confusion. He watched from a distance and saw the doctors take her back immediately, despite the "monster" ranting from the head nurse at the front desk.

The group waited for hours to hear about what happened. Rachel then heard the doctor mention that Cassie wouldn't make it unless she had a blood transfusion but she needed strong blood. Before anyone could say anything, Four Arms snuck into the room after the doctors left. He then grabbed a large needle and stuck it into one of his arms. He drew a great deal of blood and then picked Cassie up in his arms.

"Don't die on me Cassie…I need you…," he whispered sadly as he felt his own tears falling. He then stuck her in the arm with his own blood; blood that was WAY stronger than a human's blood. Cassie's wounds started to heal immediately and she could feel her energy returning. She slowly started to wake up but she still felt weak. Rachel and Gena walked in and saw what Four Arms was doing. Rachel and Gena then realized that Cassie needed human blood too rather than only alien blood.

"Gena, follow my lead. Cassie needs us and Frankenstrike taught me how to do this," Rachel said seriously as she stuck herself and Gena with a needle and injected their blood into Cassie too. They saw her slowly begin to stir more and the new results started to show. She now had a small streak of silver and blond hair in her dark red hair because of Gena and Rachel's DNA and her dark brown yes lightened up to a yellowish honey brown because of Four Arms' yellow eyes.

"W-What happened?" Cassie asked sleepily. She couldn't even talk as she was hugged deeply by the others.

"I now have enough proof to put your uncle away for good. You will never have to go back to him again!" Rachel said as tears streamed down her face, so grateful Cassie was alive.

"B-But I want you all safe…," Cassie said.

"Hush! I'm just happy my daughter is safe!" Four Arms whispered as he nuzzled her.

"Daughter?" Cassie said quietly.

"Yes, sweetheart. We have been trying to adopt you for some time!" Gena said sweetly. Rachel and the others just continued to cuddle Cassie and the other aliens waited at the mansion to hear about what happened. Once Rachel called them, they all cheered in happiness and glee.

4 days later…

"It's official! You never have to go back and your uncle is behind bars!" Rachel said happily. Cassie jumped in her arms and nuzzled her.

"Thank you thank you thank you, Rachel!" Cassie said, crying in happiness.

"And even better news! Now we can officially adopt you. Would you like to be our daughter?" Four Arms and Gena smiled.

"YES! THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER!" Cassie yelled in glee. Blitzwolfer and Swampfire came over to hear the good news too.

"Cassie. I know you almost gave your life to save me. Thank you. I love you," Rachel said as she hugged Cassie tightly.

"I love you too, Rachel!" Cassie said as tears streamed down her cheeks. "You're my friend and you're my aunt. You were worth everything. I couldn't let you die."

"I know you felt that way and I feel the same about you. But sweetheart…NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!" Rachel laughed as she then tickled her niece to pieces as Blitzwolfer, Swampfire, Vamps, and Shocks jumped in the tickle fest too.

Cassie loved her family and she was willing to do everything to help them. But she also realized that her family would do everything in their power to help and save her too. The Grant Mansion family can never be separated no matter what.
