"Shin-chan it's fiiiiiiiine. Your glasses gotta be around here somewhere," whined a little black-haired boy. One hand waved flippantly as he peddled on his tricycle.

"Takao be quiet. Oha-Asa said that today cancers had the worst luck but then you had to eat my lucky item, nanodayo," said an unusually tall green haired boy who clutched the black-haired boy, Takao's, shirt as he stood on the moving tricycle.

"But it looked so good!" Takao protested. He turned his head slightly to look at Midorima out the corner of his eye. "Plus Shin-chan, if you tried to smile a bit more the other kids wouldn't have taken your glasses. It isn't my fault they thought you looked snobby."

"Takao be quiet and peddle," replied Midorima as he turned his head away from what he presumed was Takao's face. He could barely see without his glasses.

"Yes, yes" sighed Takao as he looked around for Midorima's glasses.

All of a sudden they heard a curious voice coming from the school up ahead say, "Takao-kun? Midorima-kun?"

"Kuroko-sensei!" chorused Midorima and Takao simultaneously. Midorima increased his hold on Takao's shirt and tried to hide. A difficult feat considering he was a good chunk taller than the other boy.

"What are you both doing here at this hour?" Kuroko asked as he walked towards the two boys in the school's playfield.

Midorima opened his mouth to say, "Nothin-"

"Shin-chan lost his glasses" informed Takao through laughter as Kuroko ruffled his hair.

"I didn't lose them!" Midorima protested, but he quickly quieted down and tried to slink down even further behind Takao.

Kuroko looked at Midorima's unusual reaction and bent down to look at him. "It's okay Midorima-kun, you can tell me what happened."

"Miyaji-senpai took my glasses after class and hid them" Midorima whispered his head buried deep into Takao's back.

Kuroko gently unfurled the grip Midorima still had on Takao's shirt held the boys smaller hand in his. "I'll talk to them tomorrow; let's search for your glasses together okay?" Midorima slowly nodded and stepped down from his spot on the tricycle. "Takao-kun, would you be willing to stay and help us?" Kuroko asked.

"Yah, yah, man, who knew eating Shin-chan's sandwich would be so troublesome," Takao chattered hands behind his head.

"Takao, be quiet" Midorima muttered for the final time that day.
