The girl went to the back of the cage whimpering as she avoided the hand that reached out to her and the voice that came along.
"Just get it out of there!" Shouted a woman standing outside the dog crate.
"But it won't come out it looks really scared." Said a man who had stopped trying to get the "thing" out of her cage.
"Does it look like I care!?" Yelled the woman clenching a fist in front of her.
"Yeah, plus I wanna see how her brain looks maybe I can mess with it." Whispered a short stumpy man giggling creepily afterwards.
The woman looked down at the short one and glared as she began speaking with warning.
"Number one, you will not look, touch, more less mess with its brain. Number two, we are her to look at it's wings, not brain. Number three, you will not even be in the same room as it when we do get to observe it, Now Herald, Get it out!"
The young girl closed her eyes shivering as the hand came back making her squish herself in the corner of her "home".
"Now subject 23 if you chose to come peacefully we won't hurt you we just wanna look at your wings ok? We'll give you some yummy food afterwards if you just cooperate." The man in the white lab coat said resting his hands on his knees as he smiled kindly.
'Tch, I might be 10, but unlike some of us I actually have a brain, and oh yeah you won't hurt me cuz I totally believe you, as if' The young girl thought as she shrieked, struggling from the hands that grasped her and led her through the dark hallway as she kicked and shouted with all her strength.
They entered a pure white room white with an isolated table in the middle and counters with all types of science materials. The man laid her face down on the white doctor table strapping her arms, legs, and back on it and forcefully spreading her large wings.
"Ah, quite pretty aren't they?" The scientist said in amusement, but before she could say anything else a loud BOOM was heard with an explosion following right afterwards.
"Kill the scientist!"
"Destroy The School!"
"Save the Kids!"
Was all that was heard along with more explosions that caused holes in the roof everywhere.
'Who are these people and what are they doing?!'
The small girl thought curiously but on alert for all she knew they could try to kill her. Outside the lab room there were shouts and orders, screams and protests.
"What's going on?!" The lady in the whitecoat shrieked, ducking a rock that flew over her head followed by a bullet that whizzed in and out of her head spurting blood out that stood out like a black sheep in the pure white room.
"Maryam!" Shouted the man falling to his knees next to her sobbing as he got tackled by a black-haired-11 year old looking kid that stabbed him in the chest, banged his knee to the man's chin making him fall over coldly as he came over to the girl unstrapping her from the table quickly.
"I'm Will, what's your name?" The boy asked as he helped her get up and jumped on the counter. 'My name? I've been thinking of names for years and now…' The girl though then quickly replied.
"I'm Alaska." She suddenly jerked back unable to breathe as a short stumpy man grabbed the back of her dress and punching her unconscious as he laughed like a maniac not noticing the boy.
"You can't go around doing that to kids you know?"
Dropping the back of the girl's dress he turned clumsily only to get punched in the stomach by a blond boy and round-house kicked by a dark purple-haired girl that had quietly crept in through the door. The man kicked the blond, punched the purple-haired girl and turned in circles, his arms wide open.
"I shall never be beat by kids, we are stronger! MUCH STRONGER!" The stumpy man shouted laughing hysterically but suddenly shrieked like a little girl, looking down he saw a black-haired boy with a knife was slashing at his ankles as blood splashed everywhere.
"What are you doing!?" The short scientist asked frightened.
"Seeing if you really are stronger" the boy replied, getting kicked onto the counter making lab tubes shards cut his back and the liquid inside splash all over him.
Alaska moaned getting up from the cold tile floor, the short man had grabbed the knife and was leaning over the dark-haired boy,
"You know those tubes you splashed on had the DNA we use to make experiments like your little girlfriend over there," He whispered so quietly only the boy could hear him. "And now it's gone, and it's soaked into your blood, so either we take you with us, or…" He stopped mid-sentence grinning as he twirled the blade between his chubby fingers "I would have to use... This…. On you" He smirked stopping the dancing blade point down as the boy gulped shakily.
The girl saw the blade near his stomach and her eyes widened stumbling back into the corner of the room slowly picking up a large glass shard, the 10-year-old aimed carefully right at his neck, she moved her aiming hand back and forth in rhythm for a few seconds and threw it.
As it flew the two other kids woke and the girl gasped as the thick shard dove in his neck and he crumpled, his hands on his neck only digging it deeper.
The boy –Will- quickly jumped over him and on the counter in front of the window.
"Let's go!" He shouted jumping out onto a tree as the girl followed, snapping out her wings as soon as she was out the window. Once the other two followed they all met on a higher tree.
"Thanks for saving me." Alaska said shyly to Will as she gracefully closed her wings.
"Why are we here Lynx?!" The purple-haired girl shouted at the blond.
"Why else Raven? To team of course" The blond said as he quickly smiled reassuringly.
"But he's a…a…a…he's a human!" The purple-haired-girl yelled stuttering as she pointed a finger at Will.
"Well excuse me for not being superman!" Will shot back crossing his arms as the girl huffed in anger.
"Guys can we not fight? We are practically the only ones left alive." Alaska sighed as she put a strand of brown hair behind her ear.
"Right." Lynx replied "We need to find a cave or shelter or something, we can carry Will for a while till we are far enough away from the School, then me and Alaska will search for a cave in the air ok?"
"Sure." The rest of them replied and they started off.
They got to a cave soon enough but all fell in slumber as soon as they did. The next morning they all woke up slightly bloodied and bruised from the day before but all ok… well all but Will. Will had his back hurting an awful lot and he was still bleeding a bit from the back but all ok in the end.

'Wow two months already!' Alaska though as she flew in the shining cave compared to the night sky unloading her backpack in her corner and getting out some medicines for Will. Since they met they had gotten closer but also the pain in his back grew worst, it would sometimes come and go but mostly he was bedridden.
"I'm back!" She shouted as she flipped her hair over her shoulder walking up to Will as he lay in bed.
"Oh hi." He said groggily as he slowly sat up.
"I got more of your medicine." She said holding a few bottles shaking them slightly.
"Oh alright." he moaned as she scooped up the icky gooey medicine and fed it to him, as he lay down again and closed his eyes falling in a peaceful slumber.
"Night." Alaska Whispered as she kissed his forehead.
"We're back." Raven and Lynx yelled in union flying in the cave.
"Hey." Alaska greeted uninterested not taking her eyes off her book.
"Got dinner?" Raven asked her as she put her own backpack down.
"In the mini fridge." The brunet replied flatly but closed her book snuggling in her bed.
"I'm going to sleep, night" She said closing her eyes.
After the rest of them went to bed, Will shot up from his bed his mind screaming. He shakily got up from his bed only to fall over, his hands catching him as he coughed covering his mouth with his sweaty hands. But right before he could stand up everything went black and he fell over on the cold hard ground.
