Calling him names, calling him names... everyone's laughing at him and calling him names...
Tenten didn't laugh, she couldn't bring herself to laugh with all the other children when Lee was trying so bloody hard to do a jutsu. The class was delayed for two hours as usual.
"Why wont he give up?" Tenten thought, feeling so bad for him.
Didn't he understand all those people were calling him names and laughing at him?
Lee didn't have a single friend in the academy. Tenten had wanted to be his friend... so desperately... but, apparently, her desperation wasn't enough for her.
"If you play with him Tenten, then I'm not going to be your friend," Tenten's friend said as she tossed her beautiful, black hair. "He's ugly and dumb. You'll never be a great ninja if you be his friend."
Tenten knew Lee wasn't bright, he always got the worst scores in the class. But still... nobody deserved to be laughed at.
"Tenten, you don't want everyone laughing at you, do you?"
Tenten didn't want that. No... she wanted to be a great ninja. Lee would only be a hindrance if he was her friend. So fours years passed, Lee was without friends, and Tenten was still wondering what the price for being 'great' was.

"Why don't you just give up, Lee?" Tenten scolded him once. "It's obvious you can't mould chakra! You're like the turtle who wanted to fly!"
Lee smiled so brightly, so honestly, that Tenten had no doubt he was stupid. Who would smile when somebody told them off?
"I'll fly, one day- you'll see! I'll work really hard to achieve my dream of being a great ninja!"
"I hope you do... for your sake..." Tenten had wanted to say, but when she saw her best friend coming from the classroom- what came out of her mouth was: "How pathetic. Whoever heard of a ninja that can't mould chakra?"
Lee's face looked crushed.
"I'm so sorry..."
Tenten walked away with her friend, leaving the boy to be laughed at alone.

Authors Note: I don't know... just wondered what Lee's life would be like in the academy from another point of view. Peer pressure shouldn't be outruled at all.
