Incompletion

Always the furtive glances between each other for the last seven years. Always the mixed emotions that never saw the day. Always different.

One boy was always described as kind, brave, good-hearted; the other as malicious, rude, loathsome. But there was attraction. They were magnetic, wanting to find out more about who the other was, whether their projected image was really what was burning inside of them.

But they were afraid.

One day they would be able to cast away their masks and show each other who they were. Until then, someone else would always carry part of their soul.
