Genre: Gothic romance/supernatural/adventure.

Rating: PG. It´s much cleaner than most family movies nowadays

Cast:

Dracula: Stoker´s black-dressed Transylvanian Count, who becomes younger by blood, walks in sunlight. and changes his victims by bite, NOT by sharing of blood - it was only to torture Mina and tie them together.

Mina: Winona Ryder. (In 1992 movie had cut scene where Jon and Mina celebrated Renfield´s illness - sleeeazy - so that kind of things didn´t happen in this universe.)

Van Helsing: Peter Cushing, my favorite Van Helsing. Nothing against Anthony Hopkins´s acting, just the writing of his role. Book-version compared Lucy´s purity to angels and lilies, he did NOT describe her as whore and bitch.

Brides: Clarimonde and Ziska are named after creations of Theophile Gautier and Alexandre Dumas pére, although I used Audrey Benoit´s Clarimonde from 1998 TV adaptation as physical model of C, and Carmella is named, of course, after Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu´s Carmilla.

Lucy: looks of Sadie Frost/virginal I-don´t-want-to-be-a-vampire- personality of book-version

...

They could sense it.

The three women - Clarimonde, Ziska and Carmella - saw the little carriage, carrying middle-aged man and young woman, rolling on the snowy Romanian road. It was still daylight and snow was falling softly. Woman - lovely, dark-haired beauty, rosy and blooming, dressed in silky green - was full of purest, crimson lust. She was his, Count´s, new companion.

Master´s favorite companion. He had lost red-haired virgin, intended treasure of his harem, to Van Helsing, but he would not lost this woman.

Mina.

Wind carried their silvery laughter away.

.

Van Helsing heard the laughter - soft, sprinkling- and he had full work to restrain scared horses from pulling away.

"Poor beasts sense that there is vampires near us," he thought.

Mina woke up. She had totally lost her thin and pale look, and Van Helsing didn´t like it at all. Transformation was very, very near.

"Are we near the Castle?" Mina asked. Her dark amber eyes gloated the scenery, she was full of new life.

"Yes," Van Helsing said softly. "I think it´s better that we don´t go farther today. I will make the camp which is safe for us and the horses."

Mina didn´t answer.
