Silver Linings
-
They say all every cloud has a silver lining.
That's certainly something to laugh about.
I remember times of my youth when I would lay
Staring, aimlessly at the sky.
Brooding at the depth of it
How deep the sky is.
The clouds were the most interesting,
What with there fluffy textures
Their tops eschew in many a direction
Their bottoms black
And I searched for the silver within it.
I didn't see it.
And these days when I have less time to wonder
Less time to lie under the sun, pondering.
What with cruelties of life at every corner
When I find the time I search
I search the same sky I searched as a child
And I find nothing.
I find no dazzling silver lining the clouds.
Only fluff, and darkness
The same as I found years before
When the world was innocent.
When I was innocent.
For now I am not.
But so much else has changed, including myself.
The sky hasn't changed although, with its fluff floating silently
The ground in which I lie, hasn't either.
But I have, as many things I once knew, in many more ways than one
And so I hope still to find hope in the clouds of fluff.
But none is to be found.
So I restate this phrase,
Not from a pessimists view
But from a truthful persons
For I have searched for many years
Without any avail
Every cloud does not have a silver lining.
It has a much darker side
For a cloud is much like a human
Its so easy to see
One side light,
The other dark,
And no way to tell when the lightning will strike.

A/N: Jeez…I haven't written any attempts at poetry for sooooo long! I know I probably messed up in a lot of places…but I cant seem to find a trusty Beta Reader! Anyways….This Poem is very loosely connected to Harry Potter, but it's supposed to be Harry pondering after the "Great Magical War"…I don't know…I was bored?
