Friendship
Beauty is…their friendship.
There were many ways to describe them- partners in crime, determined rivals, comrades-in-arms.
They would scheme against their friends and family, designing the latest prank to pull and determining who to fool next. Occasionally, they tricked each other.
Sometimes, their shouting could be heard from across the village. They could bicker over anything under the sun; it would seem that they did so purely for fun. She was a dog, he was a cat. It was as simple as that.
Both of them battled evil together, protecting the lives of the innocent. While he was away at war, she would remain on the home front, tending to the wounded in her town. When he came back, battered and bruised, she would patch him up as well, sending him back to the fight, hoping that he would come back.
But through it all- through the joys, anger, and pain- they would always be there for each other. No matter what happened, they always had each other's backs.
After all, that's the beauty of friendship.

A/N: This was actually my entry for an (optional) contest thingy called the Reflections Program, under the Literature Category (of course). The theme was 'Beauty Is…', which explains the semi-tackiness of it. Oh well. It didn't place, but at least I got a giant candy bar for it! :D
This took about 6 minutes (yay Zexion) to write, and it's my first technical EdWin. Well, I guess you can take it as Royai, too…sort of. I'm leaving that one up to you.
