(A/N: I'm writing this for my friend so she doesn't read my other highly inappropriate Harry Potter fic.

As I write this, I realize she will probably read the other one anyways. Oops.)

One shall live while the other shall die.

The words haunted Harry every day, despite the sayer of them having died years ago. He knew that they meant that he had to kill Voldemort, and Harry had done that years ago.

The thing is, with Voldemort dead, was Harry able to die?

Harry had gotten married, and had children. He had a pretty happy life.

The day Ronald Weasley died, at the ripe age of 79, Harry started panicking about his uncertain future even more. He didn't know how he'd be able to live while watching everybody he loved die, from his friends to his wife to his children.

Harry's aging had simply stopped once he reached the age of forty. When questioned about it by Ginny, he made up a story about using magic to be able to look so young. Worrying his beloved wife was the last thing Harry wanted to do.

Three years after Ron's death, when Harry was 82 and Ginny 80, Ginny fell ill.

She died exactly one month later.

Harry tried to stay strong for his children and grandchildren, but he cried himself to sleep every night.

A few years after Ginny's death, Harry found himself staring in the mirror. He tried not to stare at his reflection; it was too much pain, too much of a reminder that he'd have to watch everyone he loved die.

A sudden thought occurred to Harry: he could surely kill himself, right?

Harry slid his wand out of his pocket and turned it in the hands. His lips turned up in a small smile as he remembered all the spells he had cast with it throughout the years. Then, the one he wanted came to mind. He had used it once before, to kill Voldemort.

Harry had lived while the other had died.

Ironic, how things can be.

Harry took a deep breath and placed his wand to his forehead. "Avada kedava," he mumbled. The light filled with a green light, and Harry was reunited with everyone: Ginny, his parents, Sirius, Dumbledore, and everyone else he had loved and lost over the years.

Harry greeted them all like old friends he hadn't seen in a while. For the first time, he felt truly at home.
