Synchronicity 2.
Vic was Shane's personal hero. There was nothing the man couldn't do. He'd promised to make the drugs mess go away and he'd done it. Jesus he was a God.
Working with Dutch had been an experience. Not as bad as Shane thought it would be, but Hell the guy was still a total nerd. Thank Christ he'd been busy Saturday. Sometimes Shane knew his mouth ran away with him, but Dutchboy and him out together, like buddies. Damn someone he knew might have seen them together.
"How was working with Dutchboy?" Vic asked.
"Guy's an asshole." Shane replied quickly.

Vic felt relaxed. The drugs problem was gone, he had his team back, he had his partner back.
"How was working with Dutchboy?"
"Guy's an asshole."
Vic smiled; yep everything was back to the way it should be.
He thought back to his day with Claudette. Vic had sensed her disapproval of him several times that day.
Their methods were different, that didn't bother him, nor did her disapproval. However, he decided to keep an eye on her in case her disapproval started to become a problem. Claudette was a good cop; he didn't want a future confrontation with her.
