~Story Begins~
Kikyo gets up from the spot where she was shot. She says, "Inuyasha! How could you? You chose that girl over me? Why? Kagome! She will die by my hands!" She feels her anger building up inside her every moment. She suddenly laughs and says, "Inuyasha, I now know why you chose Kagome. You went for the one that was still alive. You thought I was dead, but I am back now. You should catch my scent any moment now. I shall kill you and Kagome when you come. I just hope she comes to your rescue. Otherwise, my plans will be ruined! No, I won't let that happen. She will come. I know she will. Muhahaha!"
~Inuyasha and Kagome~
"Inuyasha," says Kagome, "this might sound strange, but I don't think Kikyo is dead." Inuyasha looks up and says, "Why, Kagome? I don't understand. I saw you shoot her in the heart." "Yea, so did I, but I sense her still. I don't know how I have been able to sense her though. I also heard a whisper when we were leaving. It sounded like Kikyo." Inuyasha rolls his eyes. "I still think we should be careful from now on, whether she is alive or not," said Kagome. Inuyasha snorted, "Fine, I'll be careful. But when we find out that she is dead, I want you to eat all your words. Every one of them!" Kagome looked down, saddened by the fact that Inuyasha didn't believe her.
~Sango and Miroku~
"So, did you hear what they were talking about, Miroku?" asked Sango. "Yes, I did," replied Miroku. "Well then what are you waiting for?! Tell me!" hisses Sango. "Hush for a second, Sango. I will tell you, but not here. You know Inuyasha doesn't like people spying of him. You know if I told you here, he would be able to tell that we were here. Come with me. I'll tell you in the woods." "Alright," said Sango, as she got up. "Ok," Miroku began, "When Inuyasha was wounded, Kagome bandaged him. Then, Inuyasha went straight to Kikyo. This angered Kagome. Then, Inuyasha said something about Kagome killing Kikyo. I think-" "Kagome would never do such a thing! She wouldn't!" yelled Sango. "This is precisely what I thought. Apparently I was wrong because Kagome admitted doing such a thing. Now they think Kikyo is not dead. Inuyasha doesn't believe Kagome though," Miroku explained. "Oh," said Sango, "we must go see if Kikyo is dead or alive." "Right," replied Miroku.
~Forest a.k.a. Her Final Breath~
Sango and Miroku went into the forest. Sango suddenly said, "Be quiet. I think I hear something." They stopped, and then Sango saw something. She gasped at what she saw. Kikyo was walking toward the hut where Inuyasha and Kagome were. She had blood coming from the wound in her chest. "I guess what they said was true. Kagome did shoot Kikyo," said Miroku. "Yea," said Sango, "I guess I was wrong." Kikyo suddenly turned around and said, "Don't think I can't see you! What kind of fool do you take me for? I have heard every word you have said. Yes, Kagome did shoot me twice in the heart. I shall never forgive Inuyasha for not killing her. You can tell him that for all I care." Then she turned and started walking toward the hut again. Sango said, "Oh no, Miroku! She is going to kill Inuyasha and Kagome! We have to stop her!" "You're right, Sango," said Miroku. So Sango threw her Hidaikotsu at Kikyo. Kikyo, who was so caught up in thinking about ways to kill Inuyasha and Kagome, didn't see it coming. It struck her, and she fell to the ground. She said, "Sango, how could you? Dam-." Her voice stopped and her eyes went blank. She was dead. "Sango!" exclaimed Miroku, "you killed Kikyo!" "I am aware of this, Miroku," said Sango. "Let's go back to the hut," said Miroku. Sango agreed, and they went back to the hut.
