There I stood over the broken body of Kane. Watching him helplessly as he stared up at me and he could not believe what I had just done.
"You are finished Kane," I said with rage filling my eyes. "You are broken and your brotherhood will fall apart without you."
Kane replied, cough "You think you will stop us. Another one will rise in my place, and another and another until world knows that Tiberium is supreme."
"Why do you think such futile thoughts?" I said, calmly, "You are about to die, your headquarters has been destroyed and NOD will fight among themselves for leadership."
"You'll see; you will just have to see." Kane said with each word bringing him closer to death.
"Just as you made my family see when you killed them?" I continued with more anger building up, "You killed my entire family. You even killed me, but when I was brought back to life I vowed that I will destroy everything that you hold dear such as this precious brotherhood of yours."
Kane exclaimed: "I remember you! I shot you point blank in the heart and you survived!" He continued, "So you were a cybernetic experiment. That's how you were brought back to life, with the aid of cybernetics, typical of GDI."
I then shouted: "Kane! You have said your final words. Now lets see how good death will be to you."
I looked at my robotic hand and started the activating sequence for the Ion cannon. It would have been a bit complex for someone in the field, but I had it programmed into my head. So for me it was the most deadliest weapon GDI could've given me.
I entered the codes one by one and when I was done I said, "Activate Ion cannon Gamma 324."
Kane exclaimed: "You fool! You won't just kill me, you've doomed yourself as well."
I replied, "I'm not afraid of death, at least not anymore. This will bring me rest and I will be reunited with my family, at last."
Kane lay there in shock. He could not believe that a GDI operative would sacrifice himself just to destroy him. I stood there, watching the beams of light entering the atmosphere. I knew immediately that this was my end as well. They say your whole life flashes before your eyes, just as your about to die. This was true, even for a cyborg.
