Rose Wilson and Artemis Crock were childhood friends. No one was surprised. Artemis' dad was Sportsmaster and Rose's dad was Deathstroke. They had lived in the same neighborhood, and went to the same school.
They trained together too. They were young, so they didn't actually get it when Deathstroke and Sportsmaster put them against each other to fight. So in their case, no one really won.
They were best friends too. They found themselves sitting next to the other one at lunch, and partnering up for sports at school. They didn't really talk, but that was fine between them.
But then, Rose joined the Teen Titans. And Artemis joined Young Justice. And then Artemis became Tigress, and her boyfriend died. Rose became the Ravager and stabbed her own eye out.
Things became very different between the girls. Rose wanted revenge on her dad for making her stab her own eye out, and Artemis just wanted to start new and fresh, and forget everything that happened in the past.
But when they met again, they were still best friends. They were still stubborn, and independent, and strong women that took crap from no one. They spilled their secrets, and it was mostly about the new weapons or crime. But occasionally, the topic of men came up.
And Rose talked about Jason a lot. Rose told Artemis that she likes Jason, but thy haven't done anything yet. Yes, you heard right. Rose likes Jason. They lived in the same apartment and they went out on killing sprees together.
Artemis was very surprised to hear this, as she would never suspect Rose to like Jason, of all people. But she was ok with it.
After all, they were best friends.
