It was the first day of Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable's freshman year. Kim was ecstatic to be in high school while Ron, on the other hand, was less than thrilled.

"Ron, can you believe we're in high school? I've been waiting for this day for like ever!"

"Yeah, sure," he muttered.

"I'm just glad I got my braces off in time! Starting high school with braces? Oh, I never would've heard the end of it!" Kim dramatically flipped her ponytail.

"What's so bad about that, KP?" Ron asked, "I think you look just as pretty with your braces as you do without."

Kim smiled, "Thanks, Ron, but I think you're the only one who thinks braces are spankin'."

Kim carried her box of belongings that she planned on putting in her locker: a make-up bag, a magnetic mirror, a cuddle buddy poster, and an old picture of her and Ron. She opened the locker that had been assigned to her and started to decorate it. She smiled in satisfaction when she was done. At that moment, Ron walked over, "Wow, KP, I really like your locker! That picture is one of my favorites."

"Mine too," she replied. Just then, a boy with curly brown hair walked by. Kim's eyes went wide, "Whoa…high school sure does have some cuties!"

Ron was rambling about how their friendship was going to prevail throughout high school, then he realized Kim wasn't paying attention. "Um, Kim? KP? Kimbo?"

She walked over to the guy she had been staring at, "Hi, I'm Kim Possible!" she held out her hand to let him shake it.

"Um, are you a freshman?" a friend of his asked.

"Yeah!" She answered confidently.

"Well, let's get something straight…" his friend started.

"We're seniors, you are a little freshman…we don't associate with your type," the cute boy finished.

Kim stood still in shock as they walked away laughing at her. Then she heard a painfully familiar voice, "Wow, you are absolutely terrible at flirting, K, maybe you should take lessons from a real girl!" Bonnie laughed with her friends.

"This is way worse than braces!" Kim fumed in humiliation.

That night, Kim sat on her roof looking at the stars. "Kim, what are you doing up there?"

"Sh! I'm not allowed up here," she whisper yelled.

"Sorry…" he sheepishly replied.

"Come up with me, Ron," she offered with a smile.

"I-I don't know if I can."

"Just climb the tree."

After five minutes of struggle, Ron made his way up the tree, "Okay, now what?" Kim reached her hand out and pulled him onto the roof. "Thanks KP."

"Any day…" she looked up at the stars and sighed.

"Are you alright?" he asked, scooting closer to her.

"I completely ruined my reputation my first day of high school, Ron," She turned her gaze down and away from him, "I'm a failure as a girl."

"KP…" he started, though he trailed off.

"No boys ever notice me, just Bonnie. I don't get it, she's so mean, what's so great about her?"

"I think you're great, Kim."

She turned to him with a slight smile, though he could now tell she had been crying, "Thanks, Ron, you're the best friend a girl could ask for."

"Well, you're the best friend anyone could ask for. You can do anything, KP! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise."

"Promise me something, Ron?" she said in a whisper.

"Anything," he whispered back, putting his arm around her.

She made direct eye contact, "Promise that we'll be friends no matter what. No matter what high school brings, or what crazy missions we get sent on…we'll always be there for each other."

"I promise," he said, tightening his arm around her.

"I promise too, Ron…best friends forever," she hugged him tightly, allowing a few last tears to fall.

I figured she probably wouldn't immediately start high school with the computer in her locker, but obviously she had already started missions since she started when she was 12(or was it 13?). I hope you enjoyed it! Review please(:
