Well, I wrote this for an english competition (which my teacher set as homework).
It was supposed to be about racism and since '
Earthbound' has Poo (I changed the name to the japanese spelling so people wouldn't laugh at it :/) I thought, 'Why not try and write a story based on Earthbound?' and here you go. The finished product. :)

"C…can we stop for a sec, Ness?" Jeff asked breathlessly, leaning against one of the rocky walls.
A young boy in a red cap turned around to his comrades. Two of them looked totally wiped out while another looked perfectly fine, "Pu, are you okay to continue?"
Pu nodded, ignoring the stares of the two now glaring at him.
Paula looked straight into Ness' eyes, "Oh, so you're going to take his word-" Paula pointed at Pu, "or did you forget about what he said back in Summers?"
Ness thought back, giving Jeff a chance to slump to floor and sort out his glasses which were now covered in dust and dirt and also give him the chance to put down the Magnum Air Gun down.
"Oh…right…" Ness finally said after a few moments of silence, "but still. Do you think he would lie to me?"
Paula and Ness got into a heated argument about whether or not they could trust Pu.
"Oh come off it, you two." Another voice piped up from the shadows near Jeff, whom had scrambled away from the voice.
Paula turned her head so sharply towards the voice that the red bow perched upon her long blonde hair waved precariously.
"Why do you talk about Pu like he's an object?" A girl stepped out of the shadows, "Are you an item, Pu?"
Pu looked startled at this question and began to ponder. Just as he opened his mouth to answer, Ness cut across him.
"Why would he be an item? Are you suggesting that he is?" Ness pointed an accusing finger at the girl.
She just threw her head back and laughed, "Oh, Ness. I knew you were suspicious, but I didn't know you were also funny. Why would I be suggesting that Pu was an item?" She turned to Pu, "So please answer my question since you were so rudely interrupted earlier."
"Well…Sometimes it does feel as though I don't exist unless I am needed." Pu looked away from the others, "It's not a nice sensation. It's worse than what I endured going through the last stages of Mu training."
They all seemed to be waiting for Ness to reply to this. While they were all staring at him, Ness' cheeks began to flush.
"I...I'm sorry..." Ness mumbled his apology so it was barely audible.
"What's that? I'm afraid we can't hear you..." The girl teased.
"I'm sorry! I was a jerk. I don't know why I treated you like an item...I guess it was because of how different you are to us..." the flushing boy just stared at his shuffling feet, making sure his voice was still heard so he would not have to repeat anything.
Everyone was grinning at each other. Ness didn't notice everyone else giving the girl high-fives and watching her disappear into the shadows once again.
Pu walked over to Ness after the strange girl had left and smiled at him, "Don't worry. I forgive you."
Ness looked back at a beaming Pu and couldn't help but beam back at him. The four realised that they would have all the time they wanted to rest back in town, after they'd finished their 'mission' and so they continued on, the meeting with the strange girl fresh in their memories.
