Drabble #58: Magic
Summary: Aeris is more than just a pretty face.

Aeris may have appeared fragile but Cloud knew better than anyone that it couldn't be more wrong. He knew she was more than just a pretty face (a very pretty face if he could add)and despite the fact that he protested against her going in dangerous situations, he did know that she could look after herself. She had magical abilities far beyond anyone else's. She could cast a powerful spell within a second, using just her mind. It never ceased to amaze Cloud, especially since her powers matched his physical attack.
She was the team's main healer, knowing more advanced cure spells than the rest and she was the protector since she knew powerful spells like 'shield.'
It was not so much the fact that something could happen to her that made Cloud protest against her being involved. He was certain she knew that he was aware of her abilities. No, he protested because he didn't like the idea that something could happen. Out of all his team, he would least like to see Aeris hurt. She was so innocent and pure that she did not deserve to be hurt.
In the end, she always got her way though and ended up going along with him. He always would do as she asked when she looked at him so pleadingly. He swore that her gorgeous eyes had a magic of their own that made him want to do everything for her.
