SPOILER WARNING for those who have not read to Water 7!!
This fic is based in the last minutes of the big battle between Luffy and Usopp. I just love that mach -cries like mad man- Oh and this was made to the LJ's onepieceyaoi100 the topic was: Reflections
'Fairytale Mirror'
He was like a mirror. He always turned with his environment. Even if it meant doing 180 degrees turn. He always tried to please everyone, not wanting to get in any fights. But no one knew what was behind that reflecting glass. No one knew what kind of person there was hiding, being too afraid to open his heart to anything.
He always envied people who were able to push their mirrors down and face the world. Those people were so much braver than him. He envied them how they were not afraid of making their thoughts heard all over. He used to think that he could never be that brave. Like he was doomed to be separated from everyone else.
He had his own world behind that mirror. Where everything was bright and wonderful. Except for the fact that he felt lonely. He found relief from giving others little glimpses of his soul. By turning his feelings into tales and stories. It was his way of facing the world. Lying was his way of trying to tell everyone how he really felt. Hoping that someday, someone would come and save him from that perfect world, so he could live in reality with others.
So when he received the last blow, it felt relieving. Like he was finally seeing the true colours of the world. Like if his captain had broke through his mirrors, and saved him from his own lies. Reached out his hand and said. "Usopp, let's face the reality, together."
And his tears. Those were tears of happiness.
