The sun was shining, the sky was clear, no koopas in sight. It was a perfect day in the Mushroom Kingdom. Princess Peach was strolling along the path in her garden as her usual morning routine. With her umbrella in hand of her white gloves, she twirled it at every corner. As she sat down on the stone bench by the fountain, a glittering caught her eye. She leaned into the fountain to see not just a rock, but a heart shaped one that looked as if a crystal gem.
"Oh my!" She beamed in her usual light voice. "It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!"
She took off her glove to reveal her pale skinned hand. The princess gently placed it into the pool of water and pulled out the rock. She smiled at her reflection in it, then dried it with her handkerchief, making it more the while. Placing her glove on her hand, she stood and royally, with her rock and umbrella in hand, made her way back to her castle.
"Greetings, princess!" A toad greeted.
"Hello!" She smiled back.
Turning a corner in a corridor, she ran into someone and they both fell back on their butts.
"I am a terribly a sorry-" A voice started, "Oh! Princess!"
Peach looked up to see her savior, Mario. He quickly got up and helped her up. She dusted herself up and picked up her belongings.
"It's OK, sir Mario." She said calmly.
"But now, I must be going to see Daisy," Her voice rang majestically through his ears as she walked away.
Mario blushed then quickly flew down the corridor, going the other direction.
Peach knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" A voice called.
"Princess Peach-"
The door swung open, and her best friend threw her arms around her neck.
"Peach!"
"Good morning, Daisy." Peach said warmly.
They sat on the bed, and Peach took out the rock, which was still wrapped in the cloth.
"What's that ya got there?" Daisy questioned with a curious expression.
"Now, just for now, I want to keep this between us." She responded, avoiding the question.
"Why? Is it bad?"
"Well, I'm not sure… But just to be safe, I don't want you to tell anyone." Peach said, revealing the rock.
Daisy's eyes grew huge. "My! It's gorgeous! Can I hold it?"
Peach nodded.
