Sunshine
A Spaniard that we have all come to love walked down a sidewalk that lead to Romano. Sunlight brightened his being. His bright smile was accommodated by the bounce in his step, making his aura one of white. In his hands were a beautiful arrangement of flowers, all ranging in the colours of heat. Spain sniffed the flowers lightly, making the breath heavy. "I can't wait to see Lovi, again, today~!" Antonio sang.
Spain came to a quick stop, turning on his heals to face a small, black gate. He gently placed a hand on the top of it, pushing the object outwards. "So pretty…" the Spaniard commented. He let himself through, closing it behind him with a relaxed sigh. Antonio started his trek up a small hill with a lone dirt path that was lined with deciduous trees. The leave that had begun to turn shades of red and orange swayed cautiously as the wind picked up. Antonio gave off a small shiver. "I wish the path wasn't so long." he whined.
Finding himself at his destination sooner that expected, he had to back track a bit. Romano was waiting for him down the path made of gravel, lined with hedges with daises. "Ah, there were are~!" the Spaniard chirped, sitting down in a small clearing. He took a deep breath, then began to sing.
"You are my sunshine," Antonio started, "My only sunshine" He went to sniff the flowers again, hugging with enough caution so that they wouldn't be squished.
"You make me happy~," he continued, giggling, "When skies are grey."
"You never know, dear…" Spain hummed, stopping for what seemed like forever, before he began again, "How much I love you." His smile faded.
Tears fell down his face before he noticed the sting in his eyes. His shoulders twitched with he sobs, putting his hands to his face.
"S-So please, do-…don't take m-my sunshine… away…" Antonio finished, placing the flowers over a patch of short grass. The smile reappeared, but with a sad undertone. Spain stood up, looking down upon a grave and its headstone.
"Please… w-was that w-w-…word not enough for y-you?!" the Spaniard screamed to thin air, making his hands into tight fists. He felt the urge to punch anything in sight, but started walking back down the path, letting his frustration empty through his tears. Antonio left quickly through the gate, slamming it closed. He then ran down the sidewalk, sobs making him stumble every once in a while. Not to soon, the Spaniard was at his house, locking himself in his room.

The other night, dear, as I lay sleeping
I dreamt I held you in my arms
When I awoke, dear, I was mistaken
So I hung my head, and I cried
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are grey
You never know, dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away
I'll always love you and make you happy
If you will only say the same
But if you leave me to love another,
You'll regret it all one day
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are grey
You never know, dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away
Please don't take my sunshine away
I don't own anything but making it what it is; This was inspired by a photo my friend found, so I don't know who made it.
