Luna Lovegood was staring out of her bedroom window on a rainy night wrapped in a warm blanket and sipping some hot tea. She was thinking. Just wondering wether or not she would be happy after Hogwarts. Going into the open world. She wouldn't be living with her family, and she may not ever see her few old friends. She wasn't quite sure what she wanted to do after school, but she had to decide soon because she would soon be starting her final year at Hogwarts.
Grew up in a small town,
and when the rain would fall down,
I'd just stare out my window.
Dreaming of what could be,
and if I'd end up happy,
I would pray...
Whenever Luna tried to talk to somebody other than her few friends, she was always ignored. Teachers never called on her in class, even if she was the only one raising her hand. When there where try-outs for quiddich or choir, she was never picked, even thought she was fairly talented at quiddich, and she posessed a gorgeous singing voice. She thought she might as well be invisible, because no one ever listened to her. Sometimes, she thought that people couldn't even see her. That's why she needed her friends, Ron, Hermione, Neville, and Ginny, and her boyfriend, Harry. Without them, she would be completely ignored by everyone around her. She wanted to fit in, but Hogwarts simply wouldn't let her.
Trying hard to reach out,
but when I tried to speak out,
felt like no one could hear me.
Wanted to belong here,
but something felt so wrong here.
So I pray,
I could break away.
Luna decided she wanted to do something great to make everyone notice her. She didn't know what. She just wanted to break through and become a whole different person. She wanted to wake up one morning, and have everybody want to be her friend. But she know that that was, of course, impossible. She sighed and took another sip of her tea. Suddenly, her eyes lit up; maybe she could do itWhen she had met her four friends and Harry, it had been on the train to school. And they were now the best of friends. Harry had told her that he, Ron, and Hermione had also met on the train. All she had to do was ask to sit with people on the train to school, and maybe meet some new friends. It had worked before!
I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly.
I'll do what it takes,
