"I'm gonna take what's left of these soldiers back to their world."
That was one of the last things Roy Mustang heard Edward Elric say. Ever the "Peoples' Alchemist", always helping others, even at the cost of his own happiness. And his brother's, apparently. Desperate cries of "what are you doing?", "I just got you back! You can't go again!" encourage him to let Al follow his brother, despite how wrong it feels to lose them both. He silently watches the rocket blast into the distance, his one eye unblinking, and wonders if he'll ever see either of them again.
