It had been a week since Shigure, Yuki, Haku and Kyo had been called to the main house. When they came home none of them had been smiling, Shigure only just managed to tell Tohru what happened. Akito had finally passed away.

She was worried about them, they hardly smiled any more. Tohru finally decided to call Hatori to see if there was anything she could do.

Even he sounded run down, what he suggested was a little odd but she was willing to try anything.

So when she got home with her usual groceries she also had a few surprises for her house mates. Shigure was the first to smell something odd, "Tohru what did you buy?"

Kyo and Haku came in next soon followed by Yuki all of them asking what she bought that day.

"I noticed you've all been really down lately and I wanted to help. Hatori suggested a few things." She explained.

Each zodiac member gasped at what she pulled out, dog biscuits, catnip, rat treats and peppermints. Kyo attempted to object but instead ended up grabbing the catnip and running to his room.

"Oh Tohru you shouldn't have." Shigure wiped away the fake tears before taking the dog biscuits and walking but to his study.

Kohaku couldn't resist the urge any longer, she snatched the peppermints and made a run for her room.

Yuki was polite and thanked the rice ball properly before taking the rat treats and ascending the stairs to his bedroom.

When dinner was ready she called but no replies were heard. She tried Shigure's study first, she was surprised at what she saw.

Shigure was chasing an imaginary tale around the room, knock things over as he went. She closed the door and ran to the phone. Just as she was about to dial the man the was going to call walked in the door.

"Tohru I forgot to tell you, if you give them to many they will go crazy." the doctor took one look at her expression and groaned, "You gave them to much didn't you?" She nodded.

"I'm sorry. Shigure is already running around his study like a dog. I was about to call you." She started to cry.

"Stop crying, lets go check on the others." He said before walking up stairs followed by the still teary girl.

Hatori opened the door to Yuki's room first, the rat was on the bed, his eyes wide. He was nibbling on a treat in that really cute way rats nibbling on things. He looked up at them and hesitantly took another bite.

"Oh dear. Shall we try Kyo next?" He asked as he closed the door. Tohru nodded and walked across the hall and opened the door to the cats room.

Kyo was on the floor rolling in catnip, occasionally he would take a deep breath in.

Haku was probably the most normal. She was sitting at her desk reading, every few minutes she would put another of the little green mints in her mouth.

"Well she seems okay." Tohru sighed.

Hatori raised an eyebrow at her, "Watch this." He stepped into the room until he was a few feet behind his daughter.

"Haku, could I have a mint?"

Her back straitened and she slowly turned to reveal the truly frightening demonic expression across her face. Hatori backed away slowly, just as he got to the door she pounced, he was only just able to shut the door in time.

Just another day in the Sohma family.
